The Ghost Witch's mind control allowed Colonel Rick Flag to conceal the fact that she had already transformed.
From the phone conversation, she also learned that Amanda did not seem to be at the Sky Eye Club.
Since going directly to Amanda to retrieve her heart would not work, the Ghost Witch pondered for a moment before deciding to break her brother's seal.
In the next instant, the Ghost Witch lying on the bed dissolved into a cloud of black mist and vanished on the spot. When she reappeared, she was already inside the special warehouse of the Sky Eye Club.
Stored there was a terracotta figurine retrieved from an ancient tomb by the Sky Eye Club—her brother's seal.
"Brother, I'll let you out."
The Ghost Witch calmly picked up the seal. After all, the security measures here were designed only for ordinary people, not for a sorceress like her.
Her figure flickered once more, and she appeared inside the subway station closest to the Sky Eye Club.
Suddenly, the brightly lit station dimmed, as the Ghost Witch searched through the vast crowd and selected the most suitable target for possession.
A thin Black man.
"Brother… it's time for you to awaken."
The Ghost Witch shattered the seal on the terracotta figurine and transferred her brother's soul into the man's body.
Evil energy surged in, causing the man's entire body to convulse violently before he collapsed backward.
Just before he hit the ground, the Ghost Witch teleported behind him, caught him, and whispered softly into his ear:
"Wake up, brother… you're free."
The man's eyes turned completely white, and a low, inhuman voice emerged from his throat.
"Where are we… and why were we sealed?"
"Humanity betrayed us long ago," the Ghost Witch replied calmly. "One of them stole our power and then sealed us away."
"But… they once worshiped us," the wizard said angrily. "They revered us as gods!"
"Now they worship weapons," the Ghost Witch said coldly. "So I will create the most powerful weapon and destroy them all. I will make humanity kneel before fear itself…"
The black mist around them slowly dissipated. The Ghost Witch's figure vanished, yet her voice lingered in the man's ears:
"Grow stronger. Feed on humans… kill them all."
A sudden power outage plunged the subway station into chaos. However, only a few seconds later, the lights came back on.
The exchange between the witch and the wizard had occurred on a spiritual level unnoticed by ordinary people. Most assumed it was just a brief electrical malfunction in the underground station.
"Hey—someone collapsed here! Can someone help him?"
A passerby finally noticed the Black man lying on the ground, foaming at the mouth, trembling, and barely conscious.
He was now possessed by a male witch whose sanity had been completely destroyed.
A subway police officer hurried over, checked his breathing, and said, "He's still alive. A few of you help me lift him up. Call an ambulance—"
Before he could finish speaking, a pitch-black tentacle burst out of the man's body and swept across the surrounding crowd.
Anyone touched by the tentacles instantly withered, their flesh drying up into lifeless corpses.
"Ahhh—!"
The sudden transformation sent the station into panic.
The wizard's body rapidly expanded, morphing into a terrifying demon glowing with an eerie red light.
"It's been so long since I tasted human flesh… hahaha…"
Thousands of tentacles erupted from the demon's body, devouring huge numbers of people. The tentacles continued to grow, tearing apart the subway station and spreading into the surrounding districts.
Wherever they passed, darkness reigned. Human life withered at terrifying speed—no grass, no trees survived.
All of this was done, in his mind, to create a "better" world.
Advanced Technology Laboratory
Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, and Dr. Harrison Wells all wore grave expressions as they listened to Batman recount his dream.
"So you dreamed that The Flash appeared… before you even met Barry?" Dr. Wells frowned deeply.
Although he was a future Flash himself, no records ever mentioned Batman having such dreams.
Xu Fu winked at Cisco, clearly curious about his thoughts. Cisco, however, stared at Batman with a starry-eyed expression and suddenly asked:
"Can I get your autograph? Maybe I can figure out your real identity from your handwriting…"
Caitlin smacked Cisco on the arm and whispered, "Behave yourself."
"Okay, okay…" Cisco immediately turned serious. "Human dreams are linked to brain activity. If something transmits information at the same frequency as the brain, it can influence it, creating dreams like this."
Barry looked confused. "Then why did I appear in Batman's dream? He said it was the first time he ever dreamed something like that… and I haven't even become The Flash yet. Could this be some kind of prophecy?"
Since ancient times, people have believed dreams to be omens, associating them with future events.
At a loss, everyone turned to Dr. Harrison Wells, who had been silent for a long time.
"Dr. Wells, what do you think?" Barry asked.
After all, among everyone present, Harrison Wells was unquestionably the most brilliant.
"Based on the message in the dream…" Wells finally said, "it was a distress signal."
With that single sentence, he grasped the key point.
"Then we need to determine where this distress signal originated," he continued. "From the future… or from somewhere else?"
As an expert in speed-force phenomena, Wells favored the latter. After all, if it truly came from the future, the Flash would not need such a roundabout method—he could simply run back himself.
"Somewhere else… you mean another space-time?" Batman asked.
When Cisco heard this, he clapped excitedly. "Yes! There's a theory about parallel universes—unproven, but theoretically possible. There could be infinite realities. Like my favorite comic The Avengers—maybe in some parallel universe, everything that happens here is just a comic, while over there, Marvel is the real world."
"Multiverse."
Xu Fu succinctly summarized Cisco's explanation. He shook his head cautiously and sighed inwardly—Cisco's mouth was far too dangerous.
"I don't know," Xu Fu said quietly.
