Batman asked in a daze, "Then what exactly should I do? This dream has been tormenting me for a long time—I haven't slept properly for even a single night."
According to Batman's schedule, he slept only about one hour per day. Yet even during that brief hour, he was repeatedly trapped in the same dream.
It caused him immense suffering.
"I have an idea," Cisco suggested. "When you fall into a deep sleep, we simulate a signal receiver based on your brainwaves and see if we can extract any useful information."
"That's a great idea," Harrison Wells nodded in agreement.
Batman glanced at Xu Fu suspiciously. When he saw that Xu Fu had no objections, he sighed."Do you need me to do anything?"
"Mr. Batman, please come with me," Caitlin said.
She led Batman into the medical equipment room of the Advanced Technology Lab. She and Cisco adjusted the instruments for a moment, then brought out a helmet that looked like an ionization device.
"Mr. Batman, if you remove your cowl, it may be better to wear this…" Caitlin suggested eagerly.
When Cisco heard that, he took another look and nodded."That's right. Your bat mask might interfere with the radio signals of your brainwaves, or—"
"No," Batman interrupted coldly. "I'm fine as I am."
Batman rejected Caitlin's suggestion. There were already too many people who knew his identity—he did not want three more to know it at the same time.
He put on the cold ionized helmet, lay down on the medical bed, and asked,"And then?"
"Then, once you enter deep sleep, we'll record your brainwaves and simulate a signal receiver," Caitlin said with a smile.
Batman's expression darkened slightly."I'm afraid I can't do that. I'm used to going to bed at five in the morning and waking up automatically around six. For me, sleep—"
Before Batman could finish speaking, Caitlin reached out and pressed the button on the helmet.

Batman: "…ha-ha-ha-ha… ha-ha-ha-ha~…"

Xu Fu shook his head."So how long will it take?"
"Thirty minutes, I think," Cisco replied. "As for Batman… let him sleep a bit longer. I think he's exhausted."
Xu Fu, Barry, and Harrison Wells chatted while they waited.
Unlike Cisco and Caitlin, Harrison Wells did not spread Batman's true identity, and he was extremely interested in Barry Allen's appearance in Batman's dream world.
"So you all think I can travel between dimensions?" Barry asked.

Moments later, Xu Fu's communicator crackled with Steel Bone's voice.

Xu Fu mulled over the city's name. Philadelphia was located southwest of Star City, geographically closer to the headquarters of the Sky Eye Club.
Could it be…
"Steel Bone, transmit the satellite feed," Xu Fu ordered.
"Roger!"
In the next second, Steel Bone hacked directly into the Advanced Technology Lab's systems, projecting the satellite footage onto the wall-mounted television.
The footage showed a massive energy construct appearing above the city, resembling a bucket-shaped reactor, with the Philadelphia subway station at its core.
"Obuga… what is that?" someone muttered.
Everyone in the room stared at the screen—except for a black bat curled up asleep.
"Is this another alien invasion?" Caitlin clenched her fists nervously, staring at the screen with concern.
Above the Philadelphia subway station, countless fragments of architectural metal formed a massive ring suspended in the sky.
Light surged upward from the ring like tens of thousands of lightning bolts, and terrifying energy fluctuations rippled outward in all directions.
Cisco glanced at the screen, then at Xu Fu, and asked weakly but seriously,"You hacked into our system again… didn't you, Xu Fu?"
"…Any objections?" Xu Fu asked uncertainly.
The corner of Cisco's mouth twitched. He shook his head quickly."No, none at all!"
Steel Bone's avatar appeared in the lower-right corner of the screen."The Sky Eye Club has just sent a notice. They have authorization to intervene in Philadelphia and will not allow us to enter."
Hearing this report, Barry grew agitated."Why won't they let us intervene? The people of Philadelphia are in danger! What are they thinking—military competition?!"
Steel Bone ignored Barry's complaint and instead looked at Xu Fu, waiting for instructions.
"Barry, don't act impulsively," Xu Fu said calmly. "Amanda has just established Task X. She intends to prove to the federal government that she can handle crises like this."
Xu Fu explained it plainly, but Barry clearly disliked the answer."Then we can't just stand by and do nothing. We have to act!"
Seeing Barry Allen's enthusiasm, Xu Fu did not stop him."Barry, go assist the police with evacuations. That thing in the subway is still expanding—make sure there are no further casualties."
"Understood! I'm on it!"
Barry turned into a streak of lightning, rushed to the control room to change into his Flash suit, and then sped toward Philadelphia.
Xu Fu turned back to the screen and asked Steel Bone,"Is the central area still scanning for civilians?"
