Chapter 166 - Chapter 167: The Beginning of a Showdown? Meeting Superman Again!

Chapter 167: The Beginning of a Showdown? Meeting Superman Again!

With all the connections Diana had built up over so many years, no matter how influential that man's family background was, she could easily make it so that no school would ever accept him again.

His reputation and honor in life would be erased in an instant.

As for Xi Nian, his way of punishment was even more direct and brutal.

The little jellyfish clones from Xiao Huang weren't only good for twenty-four-hour surveillance. They could also consume matter! Even if only a small amount, their bite strength was not something ordinary creatures could compare to.

Back then, even King Shark, Nanaue himself, with his monstrous physique, was nearly hunted and eaten alive by a swarm of those jellyfish clones.

Xi Nian wasn't in a rush. Since Jarro was already tracking that man, he would let the clone parasite on him act in a few days.

But one thing was certain—the tools he used in his attempted crime would be destroyed.

…

On their way home.

Holding hands affectionately, Xi Nian and Diana did not notice that on the rooftop of a twenty-story building nearby, a figure in a black-and-white Spider-suit was crouched, the white lenses of its mask reflecting their silhouettes.

…

At the same time.

Inside Felicia's apartment.

The windows and doors were locked tight. Inside the steamy bathroom, Felicia stood naked before the mirror.

Her hands braced against the tiled wall as hot water cascaded down her head and back. Her long silver hair clung wetly all the way to her hips. Her eyes, unblinking despite the sting of water, burned with fury, coldness—and a wild, feral madness.

The massive mental blow she had suffered seemed to awaken something savage within her.

At the edges of her lashes and brows, the black color suddenly shifted to silver-white.

Crack!

Without warning, deep cracks split across the tiled wall. Reflected in the foggy mirror, faint outlines began to emerge—black feline ears, sharp claws covered in black fur, and a long black tail swaying left and right.

…

At the doorstep.

Xi Nian and Diana loosened their hands, standing in front of the closed front door.

Once they stepped back inside, their relationship would inevitably return to what it had always been—like before tonight's "practice," when they had pretended to be a couple.

Both of them seemed to realize this at the same moment and stopped walking.

Without hesitation.

They turned slightly toward each other, their bodies pressing close. One leaned down, the other tiptoed up.

Xi Nian's hands gripped Diana's bare waist—smooth, resilient, almost like touching a sacred treasure beyond price.

Their lips tangled like fish in water, tasting the violet fragrance of each other's breath.

Silver hair spilled down as their divine powers intertwined once more.

…

In another room.

A crimson-haired girl sat cross-legged on the bed. Her eyes were closed, her chest still, her adorable face and petite body resembling a lifelike doll.

Suddenly, a blurred shadow shot like a fleeing light straight into her chest.

Wanda's gemlike eyes snapped wide open.

She gasped for air, her cheeks flaring bright red, her little heart hammering like a rabbit's.

"Young Master… Miss Diana… how… how could they… how can they…"

Wanda froze in shock.

For a thirteen-year-old girl, the scene she had just witnessed was far too overwhelming.

Hearing the sound of the front door opening, she quickly slapped her cheeks, forcing herself to calm down. If she didn't, she would give herself away.

…

The next morning.

"I'm heading to work."

"Be careful, Auntie."

Xi Nian and Diana exchanged farewells at home.

Yes.

They had returned to their usual relationship—the same one they had kept for seventeen years. What happened last night was treated as nothing more than practice, buried deep in both of their hearts.

"Wanda, I'll be going to a classmate's house this afternoon, so I won't be home for lunch," Xi Nian said as he ate breakfast.

"Got it," Wanda replied with puffed cheeks, clearly sulking.

Xi Nian raised an eyebrow. "Who upset you? Someone at school?"

"My classmates wouldn't dare," Wanda huffed.

"True enough," Xi Nian nodded. After all, she was now the Ancient One's soon-to-be disciple. In terms of raw power, she already surpassed him!

"Then who was it?"

"Not telling you!" Wanda snapped, then angrily bit into a sausage before shoving the rest at him.

"Uh… why are you eating my sausage?" Xi Nian stared at the plate, confused.

"Because it's yours! Bad Master!" Wanda shouted, then stormed off.

Xi Nian twitched at the corner of his mouth.

So she had upgraded from calling him "idiot" to "bad"?

This little brat—he'd definitely need to spank her sometime.

…

Saturday, 11 a.m.

It was about time for his appointment with Kara.

Xi Nian packed his gift into a backpack, left the house, and took the elevator up to the roof.

The moment he arrived on the rooftop—

The clouds over Washington suddenly split open, pierced by tremendous power. A tiny black dot streaked closer at impossible speed.

In one instant, it was far on the horizon. The next, it was hovering overhead.

A red cape flapped in the wind. Clad in her Supergirl uniform, Kara descended gracefully in front of him.

Her blue bodysuit, red skirt, and dark red boots were the same as always. Only this time, she wasn't wearing black stockings. The sunlight revealed her bare thighs, her absolute territory.

"Come on, Senior," Kara said with a cheerful smile, holding out her hand.

Xi Nian took it firmly. A gentle but tangible force wrapped around him—the unique bio-field of Kryptonians.

In the next moment—

Supergirl Kara shot upward with him, shattering the sound barrier and the clouds, streaking across the sky like a shooting star.

In less than a minute, they had passed over several modern cities and arrived at the outskirts of Metropolis.

A small wooden house stood surrounded by golden wheat fields, isolated for miles around. Just like Kara's adoptive parents' farm, it seemed Superman's family also needed a big farm.

Kara set Xi Nian down at the front door and called out, "Kal, I'm here!"

"Coming!"

A deep, powerful male voice answered from inside, followed by steady footsteps.

The door opened.

A tall, broad-shouldered man stood there. His shirt couldn't hide the muscles beneath. His presence seemed to shrink the doorway itself. Despite the glasses on his face lending him a scholarly air, his strength radiated unmistakably.

His true name was Kal-El. On Earth, he was Clark. To the world, he was Superman.

Kal at the doorway and Xi Nian outside locked eyes. For a moment, both fell silent.

This was their second meeting.
