She can't be serious! She really wanted to fight with me because of Atlas? A man who always chooses her no matter what. It was apparent that Atlas had some sort of affection towards her, even as I hated the thought. I couldn't do anything about it.
Besides, I shouldn't have provoked her. If I hadn't said that, she might not have thought of wanting to fight me.
Still, I doubted whether she shouldn't have because this was Sophia. She had lured me in here to kill me, so no one would be able to trace it. Suddenly, the thought of dying here once more filled me with anxiety and dread.
I grimaced as my stomach knotted while watching her. She took on a defensive stance, her dagger pointed outward and her eyes filled with open hatred, as if she couldn't wait to drive her blade into my chest.
"I don't think this is right," I murmured, shaking my head. "We were meant to work together and not try to kill each other."
"Now, who's the coward?" She sneered.
