Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: No Charge

"That's unlikely…"

"Can I operate Eden Star?" Lucas scratched his head. "Why hide it in the Underground Training Ground? Sakura's there!"

Sakura, eighth among Thirteen Flame-Chasers, was tough; one misstep could mean death.

Go for Eden Star during the day?

Unless Lucas wanted to die, he wouldn't.

His gaze continued down.

I can only do this much. Schicksal is entrusted to you, Lucas; don't disappoint me…

Diary ended.

Lucas flipped through blank pages, then shook the notebook.

"Burn it?"

The diary disintegrated, pages turning to dust under his gaze.

Waving off the ash, Lucas thought, "Welt Yang… is he watching me?"

No doubt in the Anti-Entropy Leader's abilities.

The diary didn't mention his death.

With his 'rise from the dead' skill, he could return.

Lucas shook his head. "Unlikely he's watching."

"If Welt Yang were at Schicksal, he wouldn't say 'entrust' it to me."

Welt Yang likely returned to Anti-Entropy, facing its issues.

As Anti-Entropy Leader, that was normal.

"My plan needs tweaking."

"What weapon did Welt Yang leave?"

Lucas hoped for Eden Star, but if it was in the Training Ground, how would Welt Yang face Anti-Entropy's chaos?

Bronya had the Herrscher of Reason Core.

If Eden Star was there, Welt Yang would be powerless.

But given his Post-Honkai Odyssey strength, Lucas stopped worrying.

"It's a Honkai event?"

"Why didn't Ai Yi tell me?"

From the diary, Himeko Murata, Ai Yi, Bronya, and Welt Yang had contact when corruption was mild.

By Lucas's arrival, things had changed.

No time for overthinking.

Lucas checked his wrist. "4:12 AM, time to leave."

He glanced at the Night Valkyries blocked outside. "See you if fate allows."

Before 4:30 AM, Lucas reached the meeting point with Judah.

The white-haired, blue-eyed girl leaned against a tree, breathing lightly, grim-faced, with a bleeding shoulder wound.

Seeing Judah, Lucas worried. "You alright?"

"Not dead… Human, find your things?"

Judah's voice showed no weakness, maintaining elegance.

Maybe bravado.

Lucas squatted. "Pretty much found it. Let's go home."

He ruffled her head gently.

Judah recoiled, disgusted. "Be normal, or I'll be scared."

"'Pretty much found it'? Found it or not…"

Judah babbled, blue eyes reflecting Lucas's face, nagging like a mother.

Lucas replied, "Found Himeko's things, but now there's more to find."

"A game?"

Judah's tone was sharp.

Lucas shrugged. "Welt Yang's choice. Maybe for safety."

Judah stayed silent.

Lucas boldly picked her up.

"You, you, you! Against the rules!"

Judah pushed his face, stammering.

"You're injured. I'll take care of you."

Judah was light as a feather.

Her face flushed. "Not good… nothing to pay…"

"Free, no charge."

Lucas smiled.

Judah resisted. "No… put me down."

Seeing her demeanor, Lucas wondered if she was weak or had other thoughts.

He got assertive. "The bloody storm of battlefields afraid of a hug?"

Judah bristled. "Who said that? Just a hug, I can do it! Don't underestimate me!"

Her blue eyes showed clear foolishness.

Lucas muttered, "If wisdom had a color, it'd be blue."

Judah reacted. "On purpose, huh?"

"How'd you react so fast?" Lucas asked.

"Don't treat me like an idiot!" Judah huffed. "I'm not mobile, so carry me. But no bad intentions, or I'll ignore you."

Her voice normalized, blush lingering.

"No bad intentions."

Lucas carried the petite Judah toward the Valkyrie Dormitory.

Plenty of time before six.

With Judah as radar, Lucas returned safely before five.
