In the afternoon, Leylin, fresh from completing his data collection duties at the Silvermoon Council, immediately plunged into the task of writing information into the new magic runes.
He had six magical data points to write today, a considerable workload. After handing these basic tasks over to Leylin, Grand Magister Belo'vir, far from having a chance to relax, instead faced an even heavier workload.
He needed to test Frank's newly improved combat compatibility. Previously, Leylin's dual arcane core array had already boosted the performance of arcane constructs to a considerable level. Now, Belo'vir wanted to make Frank even more powerful than previous arcane constructs.
This new arcane core array had undoubtedly greatly aided Belo'vir's research into intelligent constructs, accelerating the flow of arcane energy within the constructs and improving their ability to analyze information.
Thanks to Leylin's dual core array and the new magic runes he had developed, Frank's speed and reaction times had not only increased significantly, but he could also cast a range of basic, universal spells.
The thought of an arcane construct simulating a mage's spell casting was incredible. Yet, Belo'vir had managed it.
This advancement would undoubtedly be a new trump card at the Construct Conference two days later.
Both student and teacher were highly focused on this Construct Conference; victory would provide them with two months' supply of construct development materials. Furthermore, Leylin would also receive 100 Silvermoon Council reputation points.
"Have you finished crafting all the runes?" Belo'vir asked.
Leylin placed all the magic runes he had crafted onto the magic storage device and carefully carried them to the lab table. The teacher meticulously checked the integrity of each rune, whether he had crafted it himself or one of his students.
"Teacher, I've been studying with you these past few days, and I've noticed a peculiar problem. It's Frank's magical energy consumption." Frank was, to begin with, an arcane construct, with a finite limit to the amount of magical energy he could store.
As an intelligent construct, Frank needed to process a large amount of information and react to a large amount of information, which naturally consumed more energy than ordinary arcane energy, not to mention the fact that he now had to use a portion of his own magical energy to cast a few basic spells.
The teacher nodded. "I've also calculated this. By adjusting the dual arcane core array, I've boosted the arcane energy to its peak value. If nothing unexpected happens, the energy should be just enough."
"Isn't it a bit too unstable? After all, an arcane construct competition involves many variables. Teacher, you haven't forgotten that our arcane core array was stolen before." Leylin said worriedly.
Belo'vir wasn't initially worried about this issue. Frank's performance was excellent in all aspects, and a typical engagement wouldn't waste a long time. However, Leylin's concerns were not unfounded. This time, the Arcane Construct Conference would undoubtedly face a formidable foe.
Belo'vir frowned, pondering how to maximize the dual arcane core array's energy so that the arcane construct would have sufficient arcane energy. Solving this problem falls under the rubric of another: the construct's own energy storage.
"Student, do you have any ideas? Feel free to share." Teacher and student stood in the same position, facing the same uncharted territory. When it came to innovation, there was no distinction between instructor and student.
Unlike Grand Magister Belo'vir, Leylin possessed [Knowledge Comprehension] an ability to assist him. He had long harbored a wealth of latent knowledge, and now was the time to put it to use.
This idea, which Leylin had come up with last night through the fusion and association of his knowledge, may seem unlikely here in the world of Azeroth. But if it was on his previous world, it would be quite different.
"Teacher, the constructs we're currently creating all operate through an arcane core array, channeling magical energy. The amount of arcane energy stored in an arcane construct is naturally enormous, if we want to control the entire construct. Given this dual arcane core array, we could install another arcane core array at each key location within the construct, utilizing the arcane energy from these locations to control the construct's actions?"
While storing a large amount of energy within an arcane construct would undoubtedly overwhelm the construct, storing the energy separately would solve this problem. Theoretically, it's feasible.
However, controlling the simultaneous operation of these arrays requires another information processing device, which also relies on the arcane core array. So, how much energy would be consumed to simultaneously control so many rune links and paths? This was an unknown quantity, similar to the question of whether a computer processor possesses the necessary power.
Belo'vir was struck by Leylin's idea; it was insane. Without hesitation, Belo'vir abandoned his current construct development and began experimenting with Leylin's idea.
"Student, prepare the charging of the Arcane Core Array while I create a new one."
The instructor and student continued their work, and the night quickly deepened. Grand Magister Belo'vir stood up from the lab table, contemplating the array before him, which was far more sophisticated than any previous one.
While its capacity for arcane energy was fixed, its uniqueness lay in its numerous rune paths and links. With 2,000 rune paths and links, the information it could store was twenty times greater than before, simultaneously expanding the information it could process.
A few minutes later, Leylin brought the fully charged core array over. After completing all preparations, the instructor and student arrived at the materials room on the ground floor of the Mage Tower. They were to assemble a brand-new construct.
"Student, I'll adjust the array, and you'll assemble it." Belo'vir, meticulously and precisely handling the task, then tasked his student with assembling the various parts of the construct.
Frank, disassembled, began the work of reassembling his new life.
This was crucial. Leylin tried to relax, calming himself and listening carefully to the data analysis provided by his ability. He had to ensure 100% compatibility for each component's adjustment.
The timeframe was immense; the construct before him was no longer just dual arcane core array, but a hexa-arcane core array. The assembly process was slow, and after few hours, Leylin barely managed to assemble all of Frank's body parts.
After a moment of relief, Leylin blinked rapidly, his eyes dry from the prolonged absence of blinking.
After quickly washing his face, Leylin returned to the materials room.
It was clear that the teacher was also tired. He walked slowly, circling the brand-new Frank several times before injecting it with the arcane energy that activated it.
