"Yes! We broke his armor!"
Tai pumped his fist in the air as the combined assault of the three Angels and the Teyvat duo blasted a chunk of armor off VenomMyotismon's chest.
However, standing atop a nearby ruined building, Jean's eyes widened. Her Observation Haki flared with a terrifying warning.
"Run! Tai, get everyone out of there!" Jean screamed.
The children froze, confused by the sudden panic from the usually calm knight.
But VenomMyotismon wasn't looking at them with his humanoid face. The grotesque, demonic face on his abdomen—his true core—suddenly snapped its jaws open.
"Venom Infusion!"
A torrent of pitch-black, corrosive energy erupted from the beast's stomach, aimed directly at the children. The air itself seemed to rot where the beam passed.
Jean was too far away to block it.
"Leave it to me!"
Hu Tao's soul-form flashed directly into the path of the beam. She summoned all six of her Spirit Soothers, weaving them into a shield of Pure Yang Flame.
BOOOM!
The dark beam collided with the firewall. Hu Tao grunted, the sheer kinetic force threatening to tear her soul-form apart, but the flames held just long enough for the children to scatter to safety.
"Are you okay, Big Sister?" Kari asked, looking at Hu Tao's flickering soul-form.
"I'm fine, kiddo," Hu Tao coughed, wiping non-existent blood from her mouth. "That actually helped. I felt the origin of that attack. The humanoid upper half is just a decoy. That ugly face on his stomach is the real brain!"
At that moment, the cybernetic wolf, MetalGarurumon, bounded over the rubble and skidded to a halt beside Jean.
"Lady Knight," the Mega-level Digimon spoke, his voice metallic and deep. "Your Holy magic is effective, but you lack the mobility to dodge his area attacks. Ride on my back. Together, we can outmaneuver him."
Jean didn't hesitate. "Agreed. Let's bring this monster down."
She leaped onto the chrome armor of the giant wolf.
"Hold on!" MetalGarurumon roared, his thrusters igniting.
What followed was a masterclass in high-speed combat. Jean channeled her Anemo energy directly into MetalGarurumon's thrusters, creating a slipstream that practically teleported them across the battlefield.
Whoosh!
They became a blur of blue metal and teal wind. VenomMyotismon swiped his massive claws, but he was hitting afterimages. Before the beast could reorient, MetalGarurumon was already on its flank.
"Now!"
"Holy Light Slash!" Jean swung her sword, unleashing an arc of compressed holy wind that cleaved straight into the monster's side, interrupting its next Venom Infusion.
"Incredible," Matt whispered, watching his partner coordinate perfectly with the alien knight.
"Don't just watch!" Tai yelled. "WarGreymon! Target the stomach!"
"Terra Force!" WarGreymon hurled his miniature sun, but VenomMyotismon, realizing its core was targeted, desperately twisted its body. The fireball struck its massive left arm instead, vaporizing the limb instantly.

The members back in Teyvat watched the live feed with bated breath.
Ganyu: "A Mega-level is terrifying. He just lost an arm, but his aura hasn't diminished at all."
Ningguang: "He's cornered. He's going to stop trying to catch them and just start leveling the entire city to remove their hiding spots."
Yae Miko: "If I were Jean, I would exploit his biggest advantage. His size is his fatal flaw."
Eula: "Exactly. He's too big. He relies on raw power, but his footwork is non-existent. Destroy his footing."
Su Han: "Jean and Hu Tao will figure it out. By the way, I've uploaded the data files for the Dark Masters to the group folder. Read up on them. Piedmon, in particular, has no elemental weaknesses. We'll need raw, overwhelming Haki to beat him."
As the group began studying the upcoming bosses, Jean came to the exact same conclusion Yae Miko had.
[The Battlefield]
"Stop aiming for the body!" Jean yelled from atop MetalGarurumon. "He's too big to move quickly! Destroy the ground beneath him!"
Tai's eyes lit up. "Genius! WarGreymon, blast the street under his feet!"
"Understood!"
WarGreymon, Lilymon, and the rest of the Ultimate-level Digimon immediately shifted their aim. A barrage of missiles, energy blasts, and flower cannons slammed into the asphalt around VenomMyotismon.
The ground, already weakened by the battle, gave way. The sixty-meter titan roared in surprise as the street collapsed into the subway tunnels below, burying it up to its waist in concrete and steel rebar.
"You insolent brats!" VenomMyotismon thrashed, trying to pull its legs free, but it was stuck.
"Angewomon! Pin his arms!" Jean commanded.
Both Kari's Angewomon and Su Han's Armored Angewomon drew their bows. Two Celestial Arrows shot forth, piercing the monster's remaining arm and pinning it to the side of a falling building.
VenomMyotismon was now completely immobilized—a giant, screaming target.
"Zilali! Buff them all!" Jean shouted.
The Naaru pulsed, bathing every Digimon in blinding Holy Light.
"Fire everything at the stomach!" Tai ordered.
Every Digimon unleashed their ultimate attacks simultaneously. Missiles, lasers, and holy magic rained down on the demonic face on the beast's abdomen.
High above, Hu Tao's soul-form floated directly over the monster. Her six Spirit Soothers merged into her spear.
"This is for making me drop my tea earlier!" Hu Tao grinned fiercely. "Shikai: Yama's Purgatory!"
For exactly two seconds, the sheer spiritual pressure of Hu Tao's Zanpakuto dragged VenomMyotismon's consciousness into an illusion of hellfire. The monster stopped struggling, its mind stunned.
Two seconds in a battle of Gods was an eternity.
"Now, Jean!"
"Judgment of the Holy Wind!"
Jean leaped from MetalGarurumon's back, driving her sword downward. A massive, ethereal hammer of pure Holy Light materialized in the sky, crashing down directly onto the exposed, stunned core.
Simultaneously, Hu Tao threw the Hellfire Kunai straight into the center of the impact.
"NO! I CANNOT DIE TO... MERE CHILDREN!"
The combined force of Holy Light, Pure Yang Flame, and the ultimate attacks of the Digimon pierced the core. The demonic face shattered like glass. The red armor cracked, and a blinding pillar of purifying light erupted from the beast's center, vaporizing VenomMyotismon from the inside out until nothing remained but drifting white ash.
