Once they had passed the Abyssal Sea, Taranis and Evangeline transformed into their human form, hiding their scales, horns, wings, and claws.
They used clones of Vajra as flying swords to travel further. As they ventured deeper, Taranis observed that most of the cities were under construction, their borders expanded to nearly double the size he remembered.
Cultivators were engaged in the construction of the buildings. The surprising part was that the past five cities they had passed were in human territory. Taranis even noticed some beasts working on the construction alongside humans.
"Why do all the cities seem to be in the process of rebuilding?" Evangeline asked, confused. "Did a war break out or something?"
She was worried that the dragons might have waged a war here while Taranis was away. She didn't want him to suffer the pain of losing someone he loved again.
