Chapter 156 - Anton's Thoughts! Optimus Prime's Charisma

Even though he was hoping Megatron would be dismantled, Starscream knew he had to maintain appearances.

The Decepticons were a group of individuals, none of them simple.

With everyone constantly vying for dominance, only Megatron could bring these guys together, forming a force to confront the Autobots.

Starscream believed he had the talent to be a leader, but he didn't think he could immediately take over from Megatron.

He had to remember that his current position as second-in-command was arranged by Megatron.

Otherwise, the Decepticon members on Earth wouldn't be willing to take orders from him.

"Sector 7..."

After a moment of thought, Starscream had some new ideas based on the information he'd gathered.

The Allspark!

The Sector 7 base likely holds a treasure of the Transformers.

Regardless of whether Megatron was torn to pieces, as long as Starscream can lead the remaining Decepticons and find the Allspark, converting all mechanical objects on Earth into Decepticon members, he will immediately be hailed as the savior of the Transformers.

Then, Cybertron can be rebuilt!

It goes without saying that he can reign supreme on both Earth and Cybertron!

Megatron wouldn't even be able to threaten Starscream's position!

"Heh heh!"

Starscream grew more excited the more he thought about it, an impulse bubbling up within him.

This is hotter than Boruto!

Los Angeles.

A junkyard by the river.

Bonecrusher was torn to pieces. His massive metal head was separated from his collapsed body. The head showed no signs of life, and the body was severely damaged.

Bumblebee remained calm.

About an hour ago, he'd witnessed Cyborg's simple and brutal takedown of Barricade, which had somewhat prepared him for this.

Beside him, Optimus Prime's expression was slightly serious. He mentally raised the threat level of Batman and the others.

"Alright, let's get down to business."

Anton's voice brought Optimus Prime back to reality.

"Optimus Prime, since we share a common enemy, and you harbor no ill will towards humans, we can join forces to fight the Decepticons," Anton said.

"Agreed."

Optimus Prime considered for a moment, looking at Batman at his feet, and replied, "Currently, we haven't found any information on other Decepticon members…"

He paused, glancing at the fallen Bonecrusher nearby, and remembering what Bumblebee had told him about Barricade and Frenzy, who had been taken down recently.

He added, "Except for the few you see here."

"Decepticons!"

Finally, Keller interjected, "If the Decepticon members you're talking about include a helicopter and a mechanical scorpion, maybe I can give you some leads."

"Oh?"

A group of people turned to look at Keller.

Keller felt a chill run down his spine under the gaze of so many eyes.

The pressure from these stares was immense.

"About two weeks ago, a U.S. military base in Qatar was attacked by an unknown force. The survivors of the military base, Captain Lennox and his team, reported to us that they were attacked by an armed helicopter and a mechanical scorpion..."

As soon as Keller finished speaking, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime already had a guess.

"It's Blackout and Scorponok!"

Bumblebee said, "They are indeed Decepticons! But why would they go to Qatar to attack you?"

"We don't know for sure!"

Keller shook his head. "But it's clear they've started moving. If we're going to team up against them, we can't just sit around and wait!"

"Agreed."

Anton nodded in agreement. "Sitting idly by won't get us anywhere. Keller, the Decepticons are taking action against the military, which suggests they're interested in some of the military's intelligence... I think they might have found a lead on the Decepticons!"

Keller was startled.

He knew, of course, that Batman was hinting at NBE-ONE.

Now, NBE-ONE's identity was clear: Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons.

If the remaining Decepticon members had confirmed Megatron's location! That would be a problem! "I must report this information immediately."

Keller's face was grim.

As Secretary of Defense, he couldn't escape the blame for anything that went wrong.

This wasn't a responsibility he could bear.

"Tom, you're coming with me."

Keller looked at Tom: "You need to speak on my behalf at the military committee. Also, we need to see the President immediately."

"Understood."

Tom nodded.

As the head of Sector 7, they were responsible for the base where Megatron was located and was being studied by the researchers.

If Megatron were to get into trouble, Sector 7 would be the responsible agency.

Aliens have appeared on Earth!

As a major event affecting the whole world!

Sector 7 would bear the brunt of the blame, facing the responsibility and scorn of countless people.

Thinking of such a result, Tom was covered in cold sweat, absolutely unable to tolerate the worst-case scenario. He immediately nodded, "Should we leave now?"

"Batman, help me, I need to go to the White House immediately."

Keller looked at the man in front of him.

"You two, stay put."

Anton looked at Cyborg.

Cyborg approached the two, placing his hands on their shoulders.

Whoosh!

The three of them vanished instantly.

"Huh?"

The Sector 7 agents were dumbfounded.

They had no idea what had just happened! But they weren't stupid. From Keller and Batman's exchange just now, they vaguely realized that Keller and their boss, Tom Bannachek, had most likely already gone to the White House.

No, perhaps… they had already arrived at the White House!

Instant teleportation?

The agents swallowed hard, displaying extreme shock.

If this was real, then the abilities and methods displayed by Batman and the others had completely exceeded their understanding.

"Isn't this more alien than aliens?"

On the other side.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee witnessed this scene firsthand.

As Transformers from Cybertron, they naturally recognized this as a special kind of teleportation technology.

Cybertron also possessed similar methods.

Of course, the application of these technologies was incredibly difficult, requiring extremely demanding preconditions.

For example, the Space Bridge!

The Space Bridge was Cybertron's cutting-edge technology, even capable of interstellar travel.

In other words, with enough energy, they could transport the entire planet of Cybertron to Earth's doorstep, becoming neighbors.

The entire planet of Cybertron had only one Space Bridge.

This invaluable and incredibly precious Space Bridge was stored on the spacecraft of Sentinel Prime, the former leader of the Autobots and Optimus Prime's mentor. Furthermore, the ship also carried the Space Bridge's energy pillars, used by Sentinel Prime to restore Cybertron.

However, countless millennia ago, when Sentinel Prime was escaping Cybertron, he was shot down by a Decepticon ship and plunged into a space vortex, disappearing without a trace.

The Space Bridge technology was subsequently lost in the universe.

What a pity!

While pondering this, Optimus Prime didn't dwell on the matter.

Since Cyborg had demonstrated formidable combat abilities, along with the technology loaded onto him, adding a teleportation ability didn't seem like a big deal. Optimus Prime didn't believe that Cyborg's teleportation technology could achieve intergalactic travel.

He estimated it could only be used for teleportation within Earth's boundaries.

After all, there's a huge difference between teleporting across a planet, between planets, and between galaxies.

Even if "one method applies to all," overcoming the difficulties encountered during research isn't easy.

Humans are a potentially promising race, but not this exaggerated!

They closed the gap with Cybertron in just a few thousand years?

The two sides are separated by millions of years!

Swoosh!

Cyborg reappeared in the junkyard, and Keller and Tom were gone.

He looked at Batman.

Then, a message came into Optimus Prime's mind.

"Batman told me to tell you that those who should leave have left, and we should talk about other things."

"Hmm?"

Optimus Prime suddenly lowered his head, looking at Batman.

Batman gave him a slight smile.

Soon.

Anton said to the agents behind him, "Leave this to me, you all stay back."

"Understood."

The Sector 7 agents were very confident in Batman.

Furthermore, facing the threat of two giant alien mechanical lifeforms, they didn't intend to stay here either.

The atmosphere was incredibly oppressive.

Batman and Cyborg might not have felt it, but the pressure emanating from Optimus Prime and Bumblebee inexplicably quickened their heartbeats, making it hard to stay calm.

Soon, a group of Sector 7 agents began to withdraw.

However, they didn't dare go far, leaving a few people to guard the junkyard. The others headed towards the residential area to rendezvous with Simmons.

Fundamentally, the Sector 7 agents, including Tom and Keller, didn't trust the aliens.

Especially after the alien invasion of New York, they viewed extraterrestrials as a terrifying threat.

If it weren't for Batman's decision to cooperate with the Autobots, they would have even considered going to war with them.

To be honest, the recent alien attack in New York really hammered home a harsh reality to the world, shattering any lingering fantasies they had about extraterrestrials.

"Batman, what is it you want to say?"

Optimus Prime was curious.

What was Batman's purpose in dismissing the others? His actions suggested that he and these people weren't exactly on the same page.

"About the Allspark!"

Anton stated calmly, "As you've likely guessed, the Allspark is in the military's hands, and even Megatron is under our control. However, this isn't something humanity should possess at this stage."

According to the plot, Sector 7's researchers should have already begun their initial exploration of the Allspark's energy.

At the very least, they knew the Allspark could be used to create a large number of robots.

Once the US military completely mastered the power of the Allspark, it wasn't that Earth would become like Cyberpunk 2077, but that the current balance of power on Earth would be completely broken.

At that time, the Earth would be dominated by the Americans!

And they would be inflated to the point of no return!

The whole world would be American?

No!

Anton couldn't let things develop like this.

If the balance of power on Earth was lost, the Justice League, which he led, and the extraordinary humans in this world would fall into an awkward situation.

Caught in the middle!

Either they would be turned into Americans, or they would be seen as a threat.

There's only one way to go.

Just like in the original storyline, during the Avengers' Civil War, the Avengers' power instilled fear in the entire world. Coupled with their lack of regulation, their missions to protect the world often resulted in city-wide destruction. Governments worldwide could no longer tolerate the Avengers' recklessness.

Therefore, the United Nations issued the Sokovia Accords, requiring the Avengers members to reveal their identities to the government, submit to government oversight, and only act with government permission.

One must ask, if the US possessed military might capable of suppressing all resistance, would they tolerate a threat and simply use a piece of paper to constrain that potential threat?

Regardless of whether the Avengers were right or wrong, as an official force, they would never tolerate a private armed group, under the guise of saving the world, pulling rank and acting with impunity. This is easy to understand.

As for other aspects, it's a matter of opinion.

In short, Anton wouldn't allow others to control his future.

Therefore, the Allspark shouldn't remain on Earth.

Even if it had to stay on Earth, it shouldn't be in the hands of any official faction.

Also, from a personal standpoint, Anton was very interested in the Allspark.

It was a treasure that could continuously create an army.

In some ways, it wasn't any weaker than the Infinity Stones from the Marvel universe.

If it weren't for the fact that the Infinity Stones were official cheat items, the Allspark would probably be more popular than the Infinity Stones.

"You're going to help us?"

Optimus Prime was somewhat surprised; he understood the meaning behind Batman's words.

"Not helping you, helping myself."

Anton said, "I won't hand over the Allspark to the Transformers, but I can keep it for them."

"Keep it for them... I don't understand."

Optimus Prime was confused by Anton's words.

"To put it simply, I'll quietly take the Allspark from the military."

Anton continued, "Then, after we team up to get rid of the Decepticons on Earth, I'll send you back to Cybertron and use the Allspark's power to help you rebuild your planet. However, if Earth faces a threat in the future, you must return to Earth and help the Justice League fight against the enemy."

"We can use the Allspark's power, but you will keep it... I understand."

Optimus Prime was enlightened.

As the leader of the Autobots, he could understand Batman's approach.

The Allspark, a cosmic treasure of such magnitude, would naturally not be willingly handed over to an outsider by any sensible person – even if that outsider was benevolent and, moreover, the Allspark's original owner.

However, Optimus Prime had no intention of going to war with the humans. After all, Batman had promised to allow the Autobots to utilize the Allspark's power.

The only minor disagreement between the two sides was over the custody of the Allspark.

"If you can truly deliver on your promise, I will agree to your terms, Batman."

Optimus Prime considered for a moment, then responded: "As long as you can help us rebuild Cybertron, the Autobots will be your most steadfast allies! It wouldn't matter even if we gave you the Allspark..."

"Optimus Prime!"

Bumblebee was taken aback.

He hadn't expected Optimus Prime to say that.

The Allspark, a treasure of the Transformers, was being given to humans?

"Bumblebee!"

Optimus Prime said in a deep voice, "The Allspark is the origin of the Transformers, but we did not rise in the universe because of it. Even without the Allspark, the Transformers will still be the Transformers, and the Autobots will still be the Autobots! As long as we can rebuild Cybertron and restore our homeland to its original appearance, even without the Allspark, it will still be the future we want to see, and the one we long for."

"Optimus!"

Bumblebee was very excited; this was his leader.

Hearing this conversation, Anton was also somewhat surprised, realizing he had underestimated Optimus Prime.

This Autobot leader had a very broad mind.

Although he was constantly striving for the sake of his race, he was not bound by any race, did not bully the weak because of his strength, and treated all life equally.

This was probably the charm of Optimus Prime's personality.

Good night, everyone!
