Chapter 155 - Unlucky Bonecrusher! Starscream's Pursuit

After sending the message to Starscream, Bonecrusher cut off the communication again and followed the tire tracks on the ground.

At the same time, he pulled up a nearby map and scanned it.

Then, following the direction of the tire tracks, he hacked into the surveillance footage of the streets beside the residential area, capturing that familiar yellow figure.

Through that flamboyant yellow, Bonecrusher could be certain of the other's identity.

Bumblebee!

Finally, Bonecrusher locked onto a location.

A junkyard!

At this moment, Bonecrusher instantly became excited.

After lurking on Earth for so long, he had finally seen the Autobot he had been "longing for."

For a battle-crazed Decepticon, this was undoubtedly exhilarating news.

"Oh, shit!"

Bystanders were shocked and immediately called the police.

The junkyard.

Facing Optimus Prime's question, Anton remained composed, replying calmly, "You shouldn't be asking me about the Allspark."

"Understood."

Before coming, Optimus Prime had studied Batman and Cyborg, along with the Justice League they represented, gathering all available information from the internet.

At the same time, he also learned about the old man behind Batman from the internet.

John Keller, the Secretary of Defense.

As for the people around Keller, Optimus Prime hadn't found any information yet. Clearly, it would take some effort to dig up this guy's background.

However, Optimus Prime wasn't worried.

Even if humans had displayed power beyond their imagination, he had strong confidence in Cybertron and the power of the Autobots.

The Autobots weren't just the few on Earth.

Although the strength of the Earthlings had slightly surprised Optimus Prime, Cybertron's technological level and the individual abilities of the Transformers still far surpassed Earth's.

Fundamentally speaking, the two sides weren't comparable.

"Since you have the Allspark, you must already understand the energy it possesses."

Optimus Prime continued, "I must tell you, Megatron intends to use the Allspark's energy to turn all mechanical creations on Earth into members of the Decepticon forces. He wants to defeat the Autobots and then rule the entire universe."

"So, you're saying the Autobots came to Earth to stop him?" Anton asked.

He already knew the answer. He was asking to help the Autobots dispel some of the doubts of Keller and the others behind him.

"That's right."

Optimus Prime said solemnly, "The only way to destroy the Allspark is to insert it into the hearts of the leaders of the two factions of Transformers."

He paused, looking at the humans in front of him, and his tone was serious, not joking: "I have long been prepared to sacrifice myself at any time."

"Why does it have to be your heart or Megatron's? Can't it be someone else's heart?"

Anton had always wondered about this when he watched the movies.

Why did they have to shove the Allspark into the leaders' chests to destroy it? Didn't make any sense.

Was it meant to be a predetermined fate, that either Optimus Prime or Megatron had to die?

"Only the energy within our bodies is at the concentration required to destroy the Allspark," Optimus Prime explained. "Others cannot use the energy in their spark chambers to destroy it; forcing it would only result in their own destruction by the Allspark... it would be a meaningless sacrifice."

"I see."

Anton nodded. Optimus Prime's explanation finally cleared up a question that had puzzled him for years.

Then, he asked a question that went straight to the heart of the matter.

"If the Autobots' goal is to stop Megatron, then why not just destroy him instead of going through all this trouble to destroy the Allspark? Wouldn't that be a case of treating the symptoms and not the disease?"

Everyone was stunned by this statement.

It made sense!

If the goal was to stop the enemy, why not destroy the enemy directly instead of the weapon they were using to conquer the world?

As Batman said, wasn't this a case of treating the symptoms rather than the disease?

"Because Megatron's strength is far beyond your comprehension," Bumblebee said.

In his eyes, Optimus Prime was a great leader.

And in his opinion, the only person who could stand shoulder to shoulder with this great leader was probably Megatron of the Decepticons.

A terrorist!

Optimus Prime and Megatron seemed to represent the ultimate good and evil, black and white.

"Our battles with Megatron have spanned countless ages. Despite all this time, the damage we've inflicted on him has been minimal."

Bumblebee said gravely, "Megatron possesses an iron will, always rising after every fall, never discouraged... It sounds like the description of a hero, but he also possesses the most wicked nature, and boundless ambition! This makes him the most terrifying enemy of the Autobots."

"...Instead of focusing on destroying Megatron, it's better to think about destroying the Allspark first, to thwart Megatron's schemes!"

Bumblebee said a lot, revealing the power of their enemy, Megatron of the Decepticons, while also indirectly highlighting the strength of their leader, Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, who could contend with Megatron for thousands, even tens of thousands of years.

"Is that so?"

Anton heard these arguments, looked at Bumblebee with a mocking smile, and then turned to look at Keller and the others behind him, arms crossed.

"Did you hear that? Megatron isn't a simple character! I advise you to call back now and let those researchers figure out how to destroy NBE-ONE..."

Anton shrugged, "Of course, if you still feel that you can control everything about NBE-ONE, then consider my words as having never been spoken."

John Keller and Tom exchanged a look.

From this conversation, they confirmed that Anton's previous statement was indeed true.

That alien named Megatron, also known as NBE-ONE, was indeed the leader of another evil faction among the non-biological aliens.

The two didn't reply immediately, planning to report these conversations to the highest authorities after the communication with the Autobots was over, so that the highest authorities could jointly issue orders to destroy NBE-ONE.

Especially the president, who had to sign off on it.

To be honest, although NBE-ONE still held extremely high research value, it was better for the safety of Earth if this thing were destroyed.

"NBE-ONE?"

Bumblebee was stunned when he heard the humans' conversation, realizing that his previous guess had a high probability of being the truth.

"You're controlling Megatron?"

Bumblebee's mechanical eyes widened in surprise. "So you really do know where Megatron is!"

"Hmm?"

Optimus Prime was momentarily shocked to hear this from Bumblebee.

Following that, his gaze locked onto Anton in front of him, as well as Keller and Tom behind Anton, along with a group of agents from Sector 7.

"That's right."

Anton didn't hide anything. "We are indeed controlling Megatron. Furthermore, he is most likely in a dormant state. If we wanted to kill him, it would probably be effortless."

"So, your guess was wrong. Even if Megatron had the idea of using the Allspark to occupy Earth and conquer the universe, it can only be realized in his dreams. At this moment, both Megatron and the Allspark are under our control. How could he possibly do what you said?"

After speaking, Anton stared at the two Autobots in front of him, waiting for their response. They were clearly shocked.

Everything he said was the truth.

He'd just omitted some key information.

As for how Bumblebee and Optimus Prime would interpret things, well, that was their problem!

"This!"

Bumblebee was speechless.

He'd wanted to say that Megatron was just the leader of the Decepticons.

There were many of Megatron's lackeys within the Decepticons, all trying to find him.

Barricade, just now, was one of them.

So, Earth was still facing a crisis.

However, as the words reached his lips, Bumblebee recalled his previous conversations with Batman and Cyborg.

Apparently, Batman and the others weren't completely ignorant of the Decepticons.

Everything seemed to be under the control of the humans.

The Autobots' interference might actually disrupt the humans' plans.

Therefore, Bumblebee found himself speechless.

Beside him, Optimus Prime's expression was complicated.

He hadn't expected that Megatron, his opponent in countless battles throughout the ages, would be "captured" by humans like this?

Although it was unclear if it was truly "captured", since Batman acknowledged that Megatron was under their control, it wasn't much different from being "captured."

Behind them.

Tom and Keller exchanged a look.

They felt like Batman was trying to pull their legs, but everything he said was, unfortunately, the truth.

And just like that, those two aliens were fooled!

As expected.

With a reliable teammate, all you had to do was be a messenger and achieve victory without lifting a finger.

Rumble!

Suddenly, the sound of a vehicle came from outside the junkyard.

It wasn't the usual roar of a car; it sounded a bit strange.

Everyone turned to look, and their jaws dropped.

It turned out to be an armored vehicle.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were on high alert. They immediately recognized the newcomer as a Decepticon: Bonecrusher!

Neither of them knew that Bonecrusher was equally stunned the moment he arrived.

Not only was Bumblebee present, but so was Optimus Prime?

Bonecrusher, though thick-headed, wasn't completely ignorant of his own limitations.

He'd take on either Bumblebee or Optimus Prime alone without hesitation.

But both of them were here. Did he even need to guess the outcome?

If he could defeat those two working together, would Megatron even be the leader of the Decepticons?

Megatron himself couldn't guarantee he could handle Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's combined might.

Bonecrusher looked at the man in front of him, disdain flashing in his optics.

Mere humans!

BOOM!

Following that, a powerful sonic blast slammed into the armored vehicle, sending it flying.

CLANG! CLANG!

The armored vehicle rolled across the ground several times before transforming into its robot form, finally managing to steady itself.

"How is this possible?"

Bonecrusher was blasted to the riverbank, and he stared in shock at the human in front of him. The human's body was only a tenth of his size, yet he couldn't believe he'd been so easily knocked back by an attack from a human.

"Is this the power of humans?"

Optimus Prime, standing to the side, was also surprised.

He watched the man named Cyborg confronting Bonecrusher, and for the first time, he felt the extraordinary power of humans firsthand.

This power was already not weaker than many Transformers, and perhaps even stronger.

So, the Batman in front of him, the other superheroes of the Justice League, including Iron Man who had appeared during the recent alien attack in New York… were these heroes the true strength of humanity?

While Optimus Prime was pondering.

In front of him.

Bonecrusher, knowing he couldn't escape, released red light from his eyes. A human-like killing intent surged, and he unhesitatingly attacked Cyborg.

A moment later.

A certain military base.

Starscream, who had just understood Bonecrusher's meaning and was investigating the identities of the people in the photos Bonecrusher had sent, suddenly froze. His dashboard lit up and then went out, flashing repeatedly.

Starscream was internally freaking out!

Here we go again!

Bonecrusher's location information had disappeared too!

How could another one be gone?

At this point in time, the Decepticon members who had appeared on Earth, even including the missing Megatron, only totaled eight.

Starscream, Megatron, Barricade, Brawl, Blackout, Frenzy, Scorponok, and Bonecrusher.

However, it was now confirmed that three were missing.

Barricade, Frenzy, and Bonecrusher.

To put it nicely, they were missing. To be realistic, Starscream knew in his heart that those three were probably gone.

And then there was Megatron, who had vanished from the start.

Starscream didn't believe Megatron was dead, so he, along with the other Decepticons, had been searching for any trace of him.

The glasses that were being auctioned online were a lead.

Barricade had been sent by him to find the glasses and that's when he disappeared.

Frenzy…

Well, let's just say that guy was unlucky. Of all the bots to follow, he had to follow Barricade.

Starscream collected his thoughts, guessing that Megatron was probably in trouble and couldn't get away.

"Sector 7 agent, Reggie Simmons..."

Suddenly, the results of his investigation appeared.

Through matching, he used the permissions of a certain general on a computer connected to the internal network of the military base to find clues about Sector 7.

Some information inside was exactly the same as the data discovered during the investigation of the computer data when Blackout and Scorponok destroyed that military base in Qatar.

"NBE... Non-Biological Extraterrestrial!"

Starscream hesitated.

Could it be that Megatron really had an accident on Earth?

As early as when he arrived on Earth, Starscream had some doubts that he couldn't resolve.

The technological structure of Earth's humans was consistent with the technology within the Transformers themselves.

Even if most technological civilizations in the universe developed in a similar way, the Earthlings' technological models were perhaps too similar to the Transformers'.

Whether it was fighter jets, automobiles, or even communication devices, circuit systems, lasers, and so on, Starscream found them inexplicably familiar, as if they were technological products copied from his own body.

If not for this, Starscream and the other Decepticons, as well as Optimus Prime and the other Autobots, wouldn't have been able to blend in so seamlessly on Earth.

"If Megatron is truly controlled by humans..."

A thought, both unbelievable and exciting, popped into Starscream's mind: "Wouldn't he be taken apart by humans?"

If he were taken apart!

I could be the boss! Starscream's imagination ran wild.

As a Decepticon who always coveted the position of leader and considered himself "kindred spirits" with Megatron in their shared desire for power, Starscream was actually hoping Megatron would die sooner rather than later, so he could take over.

Honestly, if Megatron wasn't such a terrifying figure, his influence still felt even after disappearing for thousands of years, Starscream would have declared himself the leader of the Decepticons long ago.

Just a second-in-command?

That was nowhere near what Starscream aspired to.
