"I don't need to hack into anything," Han Yu said with a smile. "There's a S.H.I.E.L.D. officer on that list—Jasper, right?"
Hearing Han Yu say it so plainly, Nick Fury's face darkened.Could he really know something even Fury himself didn't?
"He is…?" Fury began, but Han Yu cut him off.
"Mr. Fury," Han Yu said, lowering his voice. "What I'm about to say involves S.H.I.E.L.D.'s deepest secrets. With your people here, are you sure you want me to say it?"
Fury hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Go ahead."
"Alright then. Jasper… is a Hydra agent. And Hydra has already infiltrated most of S.H.I.E.L.D.!"
Han Yu's words struck like a thunderclap.The three agents around him froze in shock.
S.H.I.E.L.D., infiltrated by Hydra? Impossible!
Hydra had been S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mortal enemy for decades. Captain America had destroyed them seventy years ago—how could they still exist, much less worm their way into S.H.I.E.L.D. itself?
"Hmph. You should at least make your lies sound plausible," Fury said coldly. "Hydra was wiped out long ago."
Han Yu only smiled. "Tell you what. I'll go on one mission with you—for free. We capture Jasper, ask him ourselves. Then you'll know if I'm lying."
Fury thought it over.Having Han Yu's help would only make any mission easier. "Fine," he said at last. "We'll go back and prepare. If what you say turns out to be true, I'll give you full S.H.I.E.L.D. clearance."
If this was real, Fury knew, it would mean a total disaster for S.H.I.E.L.D.—and Han Yu's earlier warning about "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s downfall" might not be an exaggeration.If Han Yu could be brought to their side, maybe there was still a chance to stabilize things.
Han Yu waved his hand lazily. "No need. I'm staying home to play video games. You guys go get ready. Just call me when it's time to leave."
Seeing that the three of them had nothing more to say, Han Yu shrugged and headed upstairs—to continue his game of GTA.
After they left the shop, Captain America turned to Fury, his expression grim."What do we do now?"
As someone who had fought Hydra personally, he couldn't take the claim lightly. He had led a strike team that destroyed countless Hydra bases—and it was Hydra that had caused his crash into the Arctic ice seventy years ago.
Fury frowned. "We'll head back and prepare. But don't tell anyone about this—not yet. True or not, saying it aloud will only make things worse."
Even Tony Stark, usually the one to crack jokes, nodded seriously. He understood the gravity of the situation.
The group left the convenience store, each going their own way to prepare for what might come next.
When they were gone, Han Yu didn't go to his computer room right away. Instead, he returned to his bedroom.
"System, open my personal status panel."
The mechanical voice of the Shop System responded immediately, displaying his information.
[Name]: Han Yu[Shop Rank]: Intermediate Clerk[Basic Abilities]: Immortal Seal, Magic Conch[Extra Abilities]: None[Timed Items]: Emotion Potion – Storm Cry ×2, Skill Selection Card ×1[Permanent Items]: Green Lantern Ring, High-Fidelity Headphones, Multiversal Smartphone[Armory]: Hyōrinmaru, Haotian Hammer (One Ring)[Upgrade Points Owned]: 168[Points Required for Next Rank]: 60
Han Yu looked over the panel and muttered,"Spend a hundred points to exchange for an Item Draw Card."
"Item Draw limit reached for current rank," the system replied flatly. "Rank upgrade required."
Han Yu's jaw dropped. "Wait, what? You never said there was a limit!"
"All final interpretations belong to the System," came the same emotionless tone.
Han Yu groaned. "Unbelievable. You could've told me sooner! I could've used all those points to level up first!"
He cursed under his breath. "Damn system…"Feeling defeated, he sighed. "Fine. Use the rest of the points to upgrade my rank."
"Upgrading… Upgrade complete.Current Position: Senior Clerk.Points consumed: 130."
Hearing the notification, Han Yu sighed again.Two rank-ups for 130 points wasn't terrible—but when he refreshed the panel and saw the new requirement at the bottom, he nearly fainted.
"Five hundred points for the next upgrade? Are you kidding me?"
Before, each level only cost a few dozen points. Now it jumped straight to five hundred—enough to buy five draw cards! Who knew what rare treasures he could've gotten from those?
"All final interpretations belong to the System," the flat voice repeated.
Han Yu felt like his so-called golden finger was actually a loan shark.Until he reached "Shop Manager" rank, the system made all the rules—and there was nothing he could do about it.
"Wait," Han Yu said suddenly, frowning. "Don't tell me the Manager rank has sub-tiers too?"
The system went silent.
Han Yu face-palmed. "Oh great. That means yes."
If it followed the same logic, "Shop Manager" probably came in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced versions—or worse.
"You win," Han Yu muttered. "Fine. Just give me more missions next time. I'll take them all."
The system said nothing. Han Yu gave up arguing.It was still early in the evening, and there was no point wasting time bickering with a machine.
He went back to the computer room to continue gaming with Ultron and the others.
After an all-night grind, the four of them had accumulated over ten million in-game cash. Even Ultron was ecstatic, splurging on high-end gear like there was no tomorrow.
On the in-game Rich List, their four names occupied the very top. Even Quicksilver, the "poorest" among them, had over eleven million. The fifth-place player had barely one million—a massive gap.
With their huge fortune, they bought luxury sports cars and the best weapons in the game. Only Wanda seemed uninterested in vehicles and guns; everyone else went all-out.
They played until late that night.Finally, when Han Yu heard Captain America's voice calling from downstairs, he logged out, told Ultron and the others he'd be right back, and went out to meet them.
