Boom!
The seabed rocks exploded as the colossal sea beast Karathen burst out. With a furious roar, it lashed its tentacles, sweeping aside warships and the murloc cavalry riding whales and sharks.
Then it opened its enormous maw and swallowed seafood whole.
"Been ages since I ate—today's a feast!"
It glanced at scattered crab claws and wreckage. "What a waste!"
Murlocs screamed and fled.
Aquaman stood atop Karathen's head, golden trident in hand, summoning tidal forces and directing tiger sharks to attack the enemy mounts. The battle formation collapsed instantly.
Mera shouted to King Nereus, "Father, don't be stubborn! Arthur has the Golden Trident—he's the true King of Atlantis!"
Before Nereus replied, Queen Atlanna stepped forward. "Old friend, stop opposing my son."
King Orm froze. "Mother? You're alive?!"
Atlanna nodded. "Arthur saved me. You two can stop fighting now, right?"
Orm's face darkened. "You always favored him… eternal bias."
Aquaman raised his trident. "Orm! Our duel isn't over!"
Orm eyed the Golden Trident greedily. "Fine. One-on-one. No help."
He shot Lin Chen a wary glance.
"To the surface," Aquaman said. He intended to negate Orm's aquatic advantage.
The two rushed upward. Seeing the duel settle leadership, the armies lowered weapons and watched.
Karathen grumbled, "Not fighting? I'm not even 10% full…"
Seafood scattered from it in terror.
On a warship platform, Aquaman and Orm clashed. Without full water advantage—and with the Golden Trident's blessing—Orm couldn't keep up. After more than ten minutes, Aquaman shattered Orm's silver trident with a decisive overhead strike.
Nereus was first to kneel. "All hail King Arthur!"
The soldiers followed.
Lin Chen glanced at Mera. "Your father reads situations fast. That's king material."
Mera rolled her eyes. "He's still my father."
Atlanna boarded and formally proclaimed Aquaman king. Then she hugged Orm, weeping. "I failed to guide you."
Vulko moved to arrest Orm—
"Wait." Lin Chen flew over. "What will you do with King Orm?"
Atlanna frowned. "This concerns our people."
Lin Chen shook his head. "Not merely internal. Orm triggered tsunamis—countless land civilians died, homes destroyed. He assassinated the Fisherman King and ignited war among sea tribes. That's mass atrocity, not a family dispute."
D'Addario called out, "I saw towns submerged!"
The Fisherman heir added, "He killed my father!"
Soldiers shouted, "Crime is crime—even for royalty!"
Public sentiment was overwhelming.
Atlanna asked, "Your proposal?"
"Liquidate Orm's assets to compensate sea and land victims. Then, per your custom, deliver him to the Trench as sacrificial justice."
Aquaman closed his eyes, then nodded. "It must be answered."
The council agreed. Atlanna reluctantly consented.
Orm was taken to the Trench. Unlike Atlanna, he did not survive.
Rewards

"Now that's proper output," Lin Chen muttered.
In his excitement he grabbed the girl beside him—
D'Addario jumped. "Master, what are you doing?!"
"Sorry—thought you were Mera."
"She's in green, I'm in white!"
"What do you want, a welcome ceremony?"
She huffed, then smirked. "Add $500 to my monthly pay and I'll forgive you."
"…You're extorting your employer."
"Too late—you agreed."
Juanla hurried over. "Master, we should leave."
"Why?"
"Aquaman met the Fisherman Princess. He's emotionally overloaded."
Right then Arthur ran over, teary-eyed. "Master, Mera—do you know how beautiful she is?!"
Mera chuckled. "Top-tier among sea folk."
Arthur rolled his eyes. "I'm not that simple!"
Lin Chen patted him. "Relax. Once things settle, come topside. Tony and Bruce host good parties."
Arthur brightened. "Deal. Leave some opportunities for me."
He turned to D'Addario. "Ana, be my assistant. I'm king now—resources, salary—"
She clung to Lin Chen's arm. "Sorry, he just gave me a raise. I'm staying."
Arthur: "…"
"Remember," Lin Chen called, "Orm's assets go to victims."
He lifted Mera and D'Addario and flew toward Gotham.
Hours later they landed. Harley and Ivy complained first—then fussed over him anyway.
Lin Chen introduced, "This is Ana D'Addario, my new maid."
Ivy sighed. "Those eyes are unfair."
Harley eyed her figure. "Hmph. So that's your type now?"
