The Unknown King grunted heavily. He could finally feel the vibrations from the battle between his knights and whatever was approaching the castle. Each distant explosion sent an ache through his body.
Parts of his armour were deformed, and Sebastian's claws had torn through the metal and into his dark skin. Even standing upright caused him grievous pain, but he endured it and walked out of the room.
Outside, he found the Alchemists and Apostles. They had been in the deepest part of the castle. They were so far underground that even if the main castle collapsed, they would feel little more than faint tremors.
"Your Majesty," Zaun greeted him solemnly.
The Unknown King acknowledged him with a nod and continued walking.
"I have dealt with the threat."
"What was it?"
"A man."
"A man could do this to you?" Zaun frowned.
