A few hours ago, seven or eight minutes after Phil Coulson left the villa, Tony Stark and Odin had a conversation, and learned that they were in the same world.
Afterwards, the two of them discussed "Thor," ultimately concluding with Odin saying, "Don't worry about Thor, let him suffer a bit."
Tony Stark didn't have any objections to this.
Thor Odinson was a familiar stranger in Tony Stark's eyes, and he didn't mind seeing him make a fool of himself.
After the conversation, Tony Stark continued to research his spaceship. Odin found Loki, intending to follow the advice of the treasure, the "Child-Rearing Handbook," and have a chat with Loki, to talk about his feelings.
Because Odin had become a member of the dimensional store, the plot didn't follow the original trajectory, so Odin wasn't angered to the point of passing out by Loki.
In the Golden Palace, somewhere in a deserted fountain square.
By the fountain, on the steps, Odin sat on the lowest step, silently gazing at the fountain not far away.
The atmosphere was so heavy!
How does one even have a heart-to-heart?
What should I say?
Odin appeared expressionless on the surface, but inwardly, he was quite flustered.
The old man, who hadn't spoken heart-to-heart with his children much, didn't know what to say for a moment.
Half a meter to Odin's left, Loki sat almost identically to Odin, silently gazing at the fountain.
The same expressionless face, yet with equally active inner thoughts, speculating on why his father had summoned him.
And by the way, Loki wasn't thinking positively.
Knowing that negative emotions can accumulate, Loki's expression gradually worsened as time passed, and the atmosphere grew increasingly heavy.
Sensing the increasingly heavy and awkward atmosphere, Odin decided to say something to warm up the conversation and ease the awkwardness before it became unbearable.
However, the topic he hastily came up with did not have the desired effect, but instead made the atmosphere even more rigid.
Half an hour later, the first heart-to-heart talk ended in failure.
But Odin didn't give up. Learning from the failure, he planned to talk to Loki again in the evening.
Taking the previous failure as a lesson, Odin used a family dinner as an excuse to call Frigga this time. With her there, things couldn't possibly go the same way as a few hours ago.
However, after half an hour, Odin realized he had thought too simply.
Having Frigga present certainly prevented a complete silence and awkwardness, but during the dinner, Loki and Frigga were having a great time chatting.
And he, throughout the whole ordeal, was just an observer, his gaze fixed on Loki.
Odin, once again defeated, still hadn't given up, but he couldn't think of anything else to do for the moment. So, he decided to seek help in the group chat.
Of course, he didn't use his own name.
Odin: "I have a friend, and his relationship with his son isn't very good. He wants to improve their relationship and talk to his son, but he doesn't know what to say..."
Minato Namikaze: "Just say what you want to say."
Edward Newgate: "No need to overthink it, just speak from the heart."
The rest of the group members: "That's right, that's right."
I know I should speak from the heart, but what should I say...
Thinking up to this point, Odin closed the group chat and looked at the familiar ceiling.
No, perhaps it has nothing to do with those things. It's my own problem; it's purely that I'm too nervous.
"Perhaps... I should go into the shop and buy some potions that can eliminate nervousness..." Thinking of this, Odin suddenly froze. "Since the problem can be solved by taking a potion, I don't need to drink a potion to eliminate nervousness at all! Truth Serum is better!"
"Speaking of which, is there Truth Serum in the shop?"
Unsure, Odin immediately entered the shop and searched for items related to "truth."
"Wow~ so many!" Odin looked at the dazzling array of items that were searched. "There's Truth Serum, Truth Incense, Truth Aura..."
Odin scanned through the various items at a glance. After a little thought, he said, "Truth Aura is quite good; it can silently influence people near the aura holder, but unfortunately, it's ineffective on the holder."
"As for the incense, the smell is too obvious. As for the potion... what excuse should I use to make Loki drink it..."
Scanning over the items, eliminating them one by one, he finally settled on using the Truth Serum and the Truth Aura in combination.
He would use the Truth Aura to make Loki speak truthfully, while he himself would drink the serum.
That's the plan.
With that thought, Odin immediately wanted to go find Loki. But then he saw how late it was, and remembering that he'd failed twice today already, he calmed himself.
He wouldn't sleep tonight. He'd carefully prepare for tomorrow, aiming for success in one shot.
Odin clenched his fist, his expression serious.
Meanwhile…
In Loki's bedroom, Loki sat on the edge of the bed, his face thoughtful, recalling the events of the day.
Whether it was his father suddenly wanting to chat, or the way his father stared at him during family dinners, it was completely different from before.
Something's up! Something's definitely up!
He had a feeling his father was planning something.
But Loki couldn't figure out what his father was planning. Worried, Loki found it hard to fall asleep, frowning as he pondered.
The day and night cycle in Asgard wasn't the same as on Earth. While Asgard was still in darkness, Earth was already bathed in sunlight.
Thousands of meters in the air, a bus was flying at an extremely high speed.
Inside the bus, Tony Stark, Akihiko Kayaba, Steve, and Bucky were seated around a table, slowly eating breakfast.
Tony Stark popped one xiaolongbao after another into his mouth, glancing sideways at Akihiko Kayaba. "Why did you come along, you?"
"Curious," Akihiko Kayaba said, expressionless, as he sipped his soy milk.
"I'm quite curious about Thor from Norse mythology!"
"You'll be disappointed when you meet him, for sure," Steve said, finishing a meat bun in a couple of bites, waving his greasy fingers.
Bucky didn't offer an opinion. Although he knew Thor, they weren't particularly close.
During their breakfast chatter, the bus arrived at the S.H.I.E.L.D. temporary base in New Mexico.
The four of them, Tony Stark included, got off the bus and entered the base. They found Phil Coulson. Before Coulson could speak, Tony Stark waved his hand and spoke first.
"Take me to where the hammer is first."
Tony Stark was more interested in Mjolnir than chatting with Thor.
"…Please, follow me."
Phil Coulson led the way, guiding the four of them along the passage until they reached the location of Mjolnir.
It was a large pit. In the center of the pit, a small earthen platform protruded, and Mjolnir rested right in the middle of it.
"Let me try first…"
In the future he had seen, he hadn't lifted Mjolnir, but that was the ordinary version of him.
