Leonard remained silent for a moment.
The silence only worsened Dydra's panic.
"What are the words you are to recite?" he finally asked.
Dydra lowered her gaze to the scroll once more.
There were no incantations written upon it.
"No words are written, my lo—"
The sentence died in her throat.
Fresh ink suddenly spread across the parchment once more .
A single line slowly formed before her eyes.
Dydra's breath caught.
She read it aloud.
"In the hands of the child of darkness and light, no spells shall be recited. Instead, her blood should..."
She paused.
The remaining words continued to write themselves.
