Chapter 91 - Fusion, Once Again

"What do you mean by that?"Zed looked completely lost by Dan Kuroto's sudden words.

Without answering, Kuroto canceled his transformation, handed Zed both the Player Driver and the God Billion Cartridge, and then—under Zed's puzzled gaze—pulled out a purple Invincible Gamer cartridge.

He shook the cartridge lightly in his hand, eyes narrowing with a mischievous smile."I'll play the role of Parad. Do you dare to play as Emu Hojo?"

"Heh… hehehe… Hahaha—HAHAHA!"Zed held his forehead and burst out laughing."As expected of you, shrimp dumpling! Fine then, let's transform!"

After passing the Invincible Gamer cartridge to Zed, Kuroto turned into a stream of digital virus and merged into Zed's body."Go on—beat him to a pulp!"

Across from them, the half-recovered Dracula suddenly felt an ominous chill. He tried to rush his regeneration, but it was too late.

Two glowing lines—one gold, one purple—crept up from Zed's neck to his cheeks, spreading until his tightly shut eyes snapped open, revealing pupils of gold and violet.

Zed removed his Chrono Driver, replacing it with the Player Driver. Twirling the God Billion cartridge twice between his fingers, he slotted it in.

Dracula, driven by primal instinct, lunged forward mid-recovery to stop him."Die!"

Zed raised the Invincible Gamer cartridge and looked coldly at the oncoming Dracula."Your fate… will end by my hand."

Kachidoki! The entire council chamber dissolved into a star-filled cosmos.Behind Zed, God Billion's massive armor appeared—and in a single motion, devoured him whole, blocking Dracula's strike.

"Damn it!" Dracula cursed in frustration.

From the armor, a black figure leapt out—Genm. The stars of the cosmic void shimmered and gathered around him before merging into his body, forging a brand-new suit of armor.

God Invincible. God Eternal.

The fusion form of Zed and Kuroto—God Invincible Gamer—looked entirely different from the original.

Zed's undersuit was jet black with violet circuitry patterns, his armor gleamed cold silver, and his eyes blazed with Genm's signature red ringed spiral pupils.

Most striking of all—this Invincible had a coat-skirt, black on the outside, red within—symbol of absolute power.

Zed swept his skirt aside with a kick that sent Dracula flying. Then, raising a hand, he shouted proudly:

"God meets Demon King—together, we're unbeatable!"

Dracula roared, charging again."So what if you changed your skin? Don't get cocky!"

Zed didn't even bother defending. He spread his arms wide—an open invitation.

Slash!Tear!Bang!Sizzle!

Dracula unleashed everything he had, attacking wildly—yet not a single scratch appeared on Zed's armor.

"How… how is this possible?!" Dracula gasped in disbelief.

Zed brushed off imaginary dust from his shoulder, smirking."Heh~ done already? I'll even let you have three more strikes."

"Don't you dare mock me!" Dracula roared, eyes bloodshot as he slashed again.

Scarlet energy erupted from his claws, blades of blood aiming straight for Zed's eyes.

Clink! Not even a mark. Zed tilted his head lazily. "That's one."

Enraged, Dracula joined his claws, condensing the bloodlight into twin crimson blades. He swung at Zed's neck.

"Second strike. You could at least try."

Dracula staggered back, panting heavily, then hissed, "You're dead!"

His blood boiled—literally. The ancient vampire power within him ignited. With a thunderous roar, Dracula dissolved into a storm of scarlet bats that swarmed toward Zed.

They surrounded him, biting and clawing, the air filled with clattering metallic screeches. The noise was maddening.

"Enough! That's three. Now—it's my turn."

With a single motion, Zed waved his arm. A shockwave burst out, scattering the bat swarm. His armor still gleamed, untouched.

He strode toward Dracula, who had barely reformed his humanoid shape. One step—and he was already in front of him.

A crushing punch struck Dracula's chest. The sigil carved into it cracked apart.

Before Dracula could even begin to repair it—another punch came."Go on, heal! Let's see you try again!"

Zed's fists rained down like thunder.Dracula's desperate counterattacks glanced harmlessly off the shining armor, which seemed to mock his futility.

Zed ignored the hits, relentlessly pummeling him, breaking down the vampire's magic seals one blow at a time.

The proud immortal's power meant nothing before God Invincible.

Zed's punches came faster, his voice rising with every blow—

"Ora ora ora ora ora ora ora—ORA!!"

Dracula's twisted face finally showed fear."No… impossible! This can't be happening!"

He could feel it—the magic sigil's rhythm slowing, its self-repair stalling. It was on the verge of collapse.

Zed took one step forward, exhaled sharply, and lowered his stance. His right fist drew back, taut like a bowstring ready to snap.

"There's no such thing as impossible!"

He roared, unleashing an uppercut like a rising dragon.

BOOM!

Dracula's jaw shattered, scattering into black mist. The collapse spread—the entire sigil burst apart.

Dracula tried desperately to reform from the smoke, but the fragments of his magic mark were too few to sustain him in this time-frozen world.

His body felt as heavy as concrete, his limbs refusing to move."No… no, please! Don't—!"

Zed stood before him, calmly tapping the Invincible cartridge to charge the finisher. Energy surged into his right leg, glowing brighter and brighter.

"The performance is over, Dracula."

He sprinted forward, leaping high. A black cosmic vortex wrapped around his leg, filled with starlight."This will be… your final festival!"

Dracula, trembling, forced his arms up to block, growling through broken words:"No… not… yet!"

The ground cracked under his feet from the impact."I am the King of Vampires! I will not fall here!"

For a moment, his sheer will pushed Zed's kick back slightly.

But then Kuroto's voice echoed from within the armor:

"Chronicle of the Universe—activate!"

Every star in the game realm flared at once, channeling power into Zed.The brilliance on his right leg intensified to blinding levels.

"AAAAH!!!"

Their combined shout shattered Dracula's guard. The kick tore through his chest, bursting him into a cloud of black vapor.

"NOOO—!!!"

The last fragments of the sigil disintegrated. The once-living mist froze mid-air, trapped between matter and void—forever still in the stopped time.

Zed landed, flicked his skirt, and stretched his hand forward. He pressed the Chronos dial.

"Finito! Rare edition~!"

Game Clear!

The game field and time stop vanished together—along with the last trace of Dracula's mist.

No one else knew of the fierce battle. To others, it looked as if Zed and Dracula had both vanished in an instant.

When the world returned to normal, Lilith blinked—and saw a stranger in armor standing where Zed had been.

She guessed who it was immediately.Only Zed used belt transformations like that.

"Zed? Is that you? What happened?"

The armored figure turned to her, then canceled the transformation. As Zed and Kuroto separated, Zed said softly, "It's me. Don't worry. Dracula's been sealed away."

Lilith walked closer, glancing at Kuroto before asking again, "What exactly happened? Explain it clearly."

"I pulled Dracula into the world of frozen time," Zed replied simply."Unless someone who controls time itself frees him, he'll stay there—forever."

He said it flatly, with no trace of the brutal fight they'd just endured. Only the result mattered.

Lilith's eyes filled with tears. Her lips trembled, and she broke down crying, falling to her knees, hugging herself as words spilled out—"Father… brother…"

This time, her grief wasn't an act. It was real, raw emotion.

Zed knelt and gently wiped her tears with a handkerchief."It's over. Everything's over. You're free now."

Lilith looked up at him through tears, her voice hoarse."No… not yet. The curse still binds me. Father and brother's souls still can't rest."

Zed shook his head. "Dracula can't truly die. Not by my hands—not yet."

Sunlight from the rising dawn seeped into the underground hall, gradually chasing away the darkness.

Lilith said nothing, wiping her eyes as she walked toward the hole Kuroto had blown open earlier.

At the border of light and shadow, she stopped, turned back, and smiled faintly."My curse won't let me cross this line. Can you… help me?"
