The Moon Guard's current situation is not good; Kaldorei refugees discriminate against them, believing they once aided evil.
Gale also doesn't value them highly; their strength is considerably weaker than the Mages Gale has cultivated, and they are not as adept at understanding Gale's methods as other Mages.
When building the port, they could only assist.
Salador found Dath'Remar and told him he wanted to recruit some Mages into the navy. Dath'Remar immediately signed up and actively helped him recruit the Moon Guard.
Compared to assisting in Nordrassil, joining the navy was a good option. Although it might involve frequent sea voyages, this was not a problem for the Moon Guard.
They had stayed in Sin'dorei for many years and were tired of it. Now, with a job that involved traveling, they were quite happy.
In less than a day, Salador had recruited one hundred Mages, exceeding his previous expectations.
Although the Sunstrider was large, its space was limited.
With a full complement of a thousand people, and the navy itself accounting for over two hundred, this reduced the number of people Antaria could take to Vashj'ir.
Vashj'ir, after all, was a city of tens of thousands, and administrative personnel were indispensable. Antaria selected one hundred people, primarily to fill senior positions in Vashj'ir and to manage the many mines in the Redridge Mountains.
Gale had designated the entire Redridge Mountain to Vashj'ir, and Gale's Tower also became a facility for supervising and protecting the mines. With the cooperation of the Vashj'ir Navy and Gale's Tower, the entire Redridge Mountain would be well protected.
Besides administrative talent, Antaria also needed to bring a certain number of troops and miners.
The troops would be recruited from the former Kaldorei Militia; these Kaldorei Militia were independent small groups and had to be disbanded.
Miners were much easier to handle; the Earth Spirit's homeland had been destroyed in the catastrophe, so Gale invited them to temporarily stay in Nordrassil. Now, Antaria needed miners, and these Earth Spirit were the best choice.
Like humans, these Earth Spirit were also suffering from the flesh curse. However, unlike humans, Earth Spirit, being made of rock, had higher resistance to the flesh curse. To this day, they still maintained their rocky skin, but internally, they had become flesh and blood creatures, acquiring the ability to reproduce.
It is imaginable that after these Earth Spirit arrive in Vashj'ir, their numbers could multiply several times in just a few decades or a century. At that time, Vashj'ir's mines would not lack miners.
More importantly, these Earth Spirit enjoyed the work of miners, unlike Troll slaves who lacked initiative.
Gale's invitation to the Earth Spirit to join the Kaldorei Empire was a win-win decision.
The Sunstrider was built very quickly, completed in less than half a month.
Gale placed the last of the magic materials on the ship as strategic reserves for the Sunstrider. Especially the arcane crystal, which could not only be used to replenish the Mages' mana but also to charge the magical thrusters at critical moments, increasing the Sunstrider's speed.
At the newly built dock, Gale led all the high-ranking officials and generals of the Kaldorei to bid farewell.
Antaria and Salador led their troops aboard, and the magical thrusters activated, pushing the Sunstrider away from the dock and out into the deep sea.
Salador ascended to the Mage Tower, looking at the increasingly distant Suramar Port. At that moment, a red figure soared from the port, chasing after the Sunstrider.
Smaug's speed was incredibly fast, and in no time, he flew above the Sunstrider. Luna stood steadily on Smaug's back, gazing intently at Salador.
Salador waved, "Go back!"
Only then did Luna gently pull the reins, signaling Smaug to return to Nordrassil.
Dath'Remar looked enviously at his kinsman. Salador had joined him to go to Sin'dorei. Unfortunately, he hadn't been able to help much back then.
Later, Salador became Gale's Mage Tower guard, embarking on the pinnacle of his life. Now, Salador had become a Rear Admiral, and was in turn promoting him.
Fate truly is unpredictable!
Salador watched Smaug land before retracting his gaze. Luna would soon return to Gale's Tower, and he and Luna would be very close, able to meet anytime. However, having just established their relationship, they didn't want to be apart for even a day.
The Kaldorei gathered in twos and threes on the deck, looking out at the sea over the railing. The Sunstrider's speed was so fast that the churning waves couldn't keep up with its forward motion. From the deck, it was hard to see the waves, which the Kaldorei called the "waveless ship."
Just as the Kaldorei were trying to spot the waves, a dark shadow glided from beneath the ship.
"What is that?"
A Kaldorei suddenly pointed near the deck and shouted.
Everyone looked over, and the Sentry Shooter immediately moved the ballista, aiming at the shadow's position. If it was an enemy, they would launch an attack immediately.
The shadow was extremely fast, moving away from the deck in a flash. It surfaced from the seawater, looking at the large ship in disbelief.
The Kaldorei were also stunned; this shadow actually had a snake's head. Its body also resembled a snake, with fins growing on its back, two stout arms, and a golden trident in its hand.
"That weapon looks familiar."
"Is it going to attack us?"
"Fire!"
Salador's command came from the Mage Tower, and the Sentry Shooters immediately pulled the triggers, firing dozens of spears at the shadow.
The shadow didn't expect the Sunstrider to be so decisive and was riddled with spears.
Dath'Remar quickly cast a spell, creating a net to catch the shadow and drag it onto the ship. He followed Salador onto the deck, parted the crowd, and approached the shadow's corpse.
"What kind of monster is this?"
The Kaldorei were also very confused; they had never seen such a creature.
Salador kicked the trident away and said coldly, "Send an image of this monster back to Nordrassil. If it can appear here, it will certainly appear in Nordrassil."
Upon hearing this, the Kaldorei immediately became serious. Although Nordrassil had a large army and wasn't afraid of attacks from such monsters, this monster was an aquatic creature. If it attacked the docks or shipyards, it would inevitably slow down Nordrassil's construction speed.
Dath'Remar quickly operated the projection spell, transmitting the image back to Nordrassil through the Mage Tower.
Upon receiving the image, Metri also frowned. He was considered a well-informed Mage, but this was the first time he had seen such a creature.
Taking the image, Metri found Gale.
"Your Majesty, the Sunstrider has just discovered a marine creature that uses weapons. Salador is concerned that this monster might attack Suramar Port, so he sent the image back."
"Oh?" Gale was a little curious. A marine creature that uses weapons? That's quite rare.
But the moment he saw the image, Gale was dumbfounded.
