Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: The Golem of Saisoni

After making some minor adjustments, Gale began batch producing Sea Monster Killers.

Considering the Sea Monster Killer was a legendary weapon, Gale planned to equip a maximum of ten Sea Monster Killers on each ship. If smaller ships than the Sunstrider were produced in the future, the number would be appropriately reduced.

Gale placed seventy Sea Monster Killers into a magical package, leaving the remaining thirty in Gale's Tower.

Five were for Gale's Tower's own use, and Luna was to deliver another twenty-five to Vashj'ir. Ten would be used on the Sunstrider, and the remaining fifteen would be kept for use at Vashj'ir Port.

After allocating the Sea Monster Killers, Gale went to find Sethonis again.

"Gale?" Sethonis looked at Gale in surprise, then quickly reacted, "Your Majesty!"

He prepared to bow, but Gale reached out and pulled him up.

"Do we two still need to be so formal?"

Compared to his other subordinates, Gale trusted this old classmate and good friend the most. Although Sethonis was a bit stubborn, he was absolutely 100% loyal to him, doing whatever he was asked to do without complaint.

If it weren't for Sethonis's lack of prominent achievements and his talents not lying in governance, the position of Governor of Vashj'ir would never have gone to Antaria.

"What have you been busy with? I've been here for days, and you're still not done?" Gale asked curiously.

Sethonis led Gale to a table, where a half-human-sized humanoid machine lay.

"Do you remember Nathalass's Golem technology? I'm planning to upgrade it. This is a prototype, and it's almost complete."

As he spoke, Sethonis attached the remaining parts.

Then he injected Arcane Energy into the Golem, and soon the Golem was activated.

The Golem's two red eyes flickered as it looked at the two people in front of it with confusion.

Sethonis said, "Sero 010, I am your master, Sethonis."

Golem Sero 010 immediately moved closer to Sethonis, then performed a genuflection, "Hello, Master, please give me a task."

Sethonis: "Go and move that box over here."

Golem Sero 010 immediately stepped towards the other end of the table.

Gale looked at this prototype in surprise; it was quite intelligent.

While Sero 010 was busy, Sethonis explained to Gale: "Although Nathalass's Golem technology is good, its combat capability is still too poor, and its endurance is also lacking. Your process of creating Aeon gave me inspiration. As long as the Golem's intelligence is improved, and then the Well of Eternity's water is used as an energy source, the Golem's combat capability and endurance will be greatly enhanced. At that time, Gale's Tower can completely use these Golems as guards, and if there are enough materials, building a Golem army is not impossible."

Gale nodded, "That's a good idea. Do you have a detailed design plan?"

"I have some ideas!"

Sethonis brought over the blueprints and handed them to Gale. Gale opened them and saw that they were just preliminary designs, not yet finalized.

Thinking about it, Sethonis's Golems were developing towards robots, so it wasn't that easy to finalize. However, this idea did inspire Gale, and he said, "Don't rush with combat Golems. First, design a production Golem. The Empire is currently severely lacking in labor, and for now, we can't capture Troll slaves. If the Golems you create can first take on tasks like mining, it will greatly increase the Empire's development speed."

In national development, finances are very important. With money, Gale could implement many policies, such as his long-cherished goal of increasing the population.

Increasing the population was not just about randomly adding numbers. Kaldorei were not primitive people; procreation was for the continuation of their race. Kaldorei were more like modern people; in their view of fertility, having children had costs, not only raising them but also ensuring they received a good education and could find work to support themselves.

All of these required money.

Therefore, to encourage Kaldorei to have many children, strong financial support was essential.

And the biggest source of financial income was mining.

Gale had originally assigned all the Redridge Mountains mines to Gale's Tower for this purpose. However, Gale had not anticipated that the mines allocated to Darkmoon City would now be submerged at the bottom of the sea.

Sethonis suddenly realized, "That's right! I can first create some mining Golems!"

Although Earth Elements were also good at digging ore, Earth Elements were very dissatisfied with this behavior. They were elemental beings, not lowly miners, and being constantly made to dig mines made them unwilling.

Recently, Mages of Gale's Tower had found it increasingly difficult to summon Earth Elements. Those Mages who had summoned Earth Elements multiple times could no longer even get a response from them.

If the problem of miners could not be solved, it might be necessary to bring some Earth Spirits from Vashj'ir to mine.

"That's easy to do!"

Sethonis grabbed a blank piece of paper and started drawing. Soon, he designed a floating Golem.

Minefields have complex terrain; whether they have legs or tracks, they will encounter difficulties in movement. Floating would eliminate these problems; inaccessible terrain could simply be flown over.

For the choice of floating spell, Sethonis did not choose the Floating spell, but rather the Storm spell. Using airflow as a thruster, it could move up, down, forward, and backward.

The Golem had four metal arms, but the enchantment on the arms was an Earth spell, allowing it to directly separate ore from the vein. The separated useless materials would also be solidified by the Earth spell, making them easy to transport to other places.

After the design was complete, Sethonis and Gale entered the underground warehouse, passed through a portal, and arrived at the mine. He brought in some materials; the Golem's outer shell was made of refined iron, then enchanted with Mithril, and the energy core used an arcane crystal.

The Golem could carry one ton of ore, and when fully loaded, a fully charged arcane crystal could operate for one hour.

To prevent frequent recharging, Sethonis connected twelve arcane crystals together to form a crystal array. This way, only two crystal arrays would be needed for the Golem to operate continuously for 24 hours.

Sero 010's intelligence was sufficient to command the mining Golems; it just needed its intelligence system transferred over.

Soon, the mining Golem, named Sero 011, was completed. Sethonis gave the Golem instructions, and the Golem quickly began to move, taking over the Earth Elements' excavation work.

Not only was its mining speed very fast, but its transportation speed was even more impressive. It also knew how to enter the portal itself, dump the ore into the magic furnace, and a round trip saved half the time compared to the Earth Elements.

It was imaginable that after mass production, only a few Mages would be needed to oversee the magic furnace and the storage of metal ingots, while other Mages could be assigned to work elsewhere.

Moreover, if the mining Golems were introduced to Vashj'ir, a large number of mines could completely resume production.
