Lightning roared, and holy fire swirled.
Gale led the Valarjar, sparks and lightning flying, as they charged into Skywall (corrected from earlier chapters).
They first had to face Grand Vizier Ertan, the most loyal servant of Westwind King Asaad, the lord of Skywall. However, his strength did not match the title of Grand Vizier.
Gale swung his Miao Miao Hammer and rushed forward. With a single lightning strike, he sent the Grand Vizier back to the Wind Elemental Realm.
Heimdall, with the Valarjar, cut through the other Wind Elementals like chopping vegetables, leading the charge towards the whirlwind portal.
Guarding this place was Westwind King Asaad's mount, the Storm Dragon Altairus. This Storm Dragon had joined the Wind Elemental faction before the War of the Masters and was sealed into the Wind Elemental Realm along with his master. While in the Wind Elemental Realm, his strength continuously grew. There were rumors that the air currents around Skywall were all controlled by Altairus.
Regardless of whether this legend was true or false, it indicated that Altairus was very powerful.
Unfortunately, Gale didn't know this legend, and neither did the Valarjar.
So, when Gale and the Valarjar rushed in front of Altairus, they were met with an incredibly powerful storm.
Whoosh—
Gale and the Valarjar were directly blown off the platform. If they fell like this, Gale would surely die.
Though the Valarjar could be killed, they were immune to other physical damage. They couldn't be killed by falling; only Gale himself could be.
Fortunately, Gale had Mjolnir. Blown off one second, he flew back up the next.
Altairus walked to the edge of the platform, wanting to admire his masterpiece. But before he could get a clear look, he was struck in the jaw by a dark shadow, sending him crashing back to the center of the platform.
Gale landed steadily on the platform and waved his hand, releasing countless Arcane chains to pull the Valarjar back onto the platform. While falling to the ground wouldn't kill them, they would have to summon their Proto-Dragons to fly back up, which would take too much time.
Altairus got back up, roared, flapped his wings to create air currents, and spewed lightning breath from his mouth, combining wind and thunder to attack Gale and his companions simultaneously.
Gale immediately raised Aggramar's Shield, activating a barrier to protect the Valarjar. Wind and thunder struck the barrier, creating a terrifying display but causing no damage.
If it weren't for Nodradis, Gale might have captured him and brought him back to Nordrassil to lead the Storm Dragons. Unfortunately, Nordrassil arrived before him and was extremely loyal.
So, there was no need to capture Altairus!
Gale raised Mjolnir, and the sky instantly changed. The turbulent air currents stopped, and the rapid lightning was forced to change direction, finally converging on Mjolnir. Gale slammed Mjolnir onto the ground, and a violent lightning bolt struck Altairus along the ground.
"Roar—"
Altairus wailed as lightning coursed through his body, paralyzing him and rendering him immobile.
In terms of elemental control, living beings have an inherent disadvantage compared to elemental beings. The power of Mjolnir is equivalent to the pillars of creation; even powerful Wind Elementals cannot match its control over lightning, let alone Altairus. Even if he could truly control the air currents of Skywall, it was because he couldn't incorporate all the Wind Elementals into his body to become his own power. This was his flaw, not proof of his strength.
Heimdall immediately led the Valarjar in a charge. He raised his Valarjar battle-sword and instantly decapitated Altairus.
"Who are you people?"
A majestic voice boomed, and a Wind Elemental lord, resembling Siamat, descended. He was Westwind King Asaad.
Heimdall loudly declared, "We are the Valarjar, loyal to King Gale of the Kaldorei Empire."
King Gale?
Asaad looked at Gale, clearly having heard his name.
Gale's heart stirred. It seemed Al'Akir's attack on Uldum was indeed related to Deathwing.
Asaad said in a deep voice, "King Gale of the Kaldorei Empire, we have not invaded your territory. Why do you oppose the Wind Elementals?"
"You are attacking my allies," Gale chuckled. "If you obediently retreat to the Wind Elemental Realm, I can pretend nothing happened."
Asaad looked at Gale in anger, "Mortal, do you think you can stop the great Al'Akir?"
"I can try!"
Heimdall suddenly said, "Your Majesty, Aurakyir's Sky Throne is moving towards us."
Gale didn't care at all; he had already seen Aurakyir's Sky Throne approaching. It must be that Asaad, seeing their formidable strength, realized they could conquer Skywall in a short time. Asaad's appearance just now was to stall for time, allowing Al'Akir to arrive.
He didn't care in the slightest. Al'Akir coming here would be perfect; he could deal with them both at once, saving him the trouble of having to go over there.
"The great Al'Akir is about to descend, mortals, kneel and worship!"
The Valarjar looked at him as if he were an idiot. This guy's brain seemed to have some issues. Although Al'Akir was the leader of the Wind Elementals, he was merely a defeated foe of the Titan Guardian. Gale was a ruthless individual who had killed Loken. You want him to kneel and worship Al'Akir? Is he tired of living?
Indeed, Gale's face darkened.
Was this guy a chuunibyou, or was he just used to fawning over Al'Akir?
He threw Mjolnir at Asaad's head.
Mjolnir moved incredibly fast, piercing directly through Asaad's head. Asaad hadn't expected Gale to attack him at that moment and was completely unprepared.
Fortunately, Wind Elementals, like souls, are spiritual entities and possess an immortal characteristic. As long as they are not killed, their bodies remain intact.
Asaad charged at Gale, unleashing countless storms and lightning bolts across the platform with every move, giving the Valarjar an 'electrotherapy' session. The Valarjar endured the fierce winds and lightning, attacking Asaad, but before they could get close, they were blown away by the wind rings Asaad released.
Gale recalled Mjolnir, and instantly countless lightning bolts surged into his body, transforming him into an Elemental Ascendant state.
Innumerable lightning bolts coiled around his body, constantly attacking everything around him, even the floor.
Gale used Mjolnir to leap onto Asaad's face, and as Mjolnir struck, countless lightning bolts splattered across Asaad's face.
"Ah—"
Asaad couldn't help but shriek. He had never imagined that he would ever be injured by lightning.
Falling from the air, Aggramar's Shield transformed into the devourer of gods. A vast amount of Soul Power surged from the devourer of gods, directly shattering Asaad's body.
Asaad still had a sliver of consciousness, wanting to reform his body.
Unfortunately, Gale gave him no such chance. The Soul Blade plunged into Asaad's soul, dragging him into the devourer of gods.
Just then, Aurakyir's Sky Throne finally arrived.
Al'Akir, accompanied by three Wind Elemental lords, reached Skywall and, seeing the Wind Elemental corpses everywhere, was consumed by rage.
