"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 268: Newlyweds?

Back home, Yor limped through the door, a cloud of frustration following her in.

Draconis Yi raised an eyebrow. "Is it that bad?"

"It's… really nothing. Just a scratch," Yor insisted, though her face was pale and her steps awkward. She looked like she was trying to walk off a stab wound.

Draconis Yi sighed. "Stop pretending. Let me heal you."

"Ah? No, no, really—I'm fine…" Yor fumbled, cheeks burning. This wasn't a hand injury he could treat with a touch; if she let him heal her, she'd have to bare it all.

Draconis Yi grinned. "Why so shy? You're already my wife, remember?"

"Um… well…" Yor mumbled, mortified. Maybe he had a point, but embarrassment was only human.

He gently took her hand and led her to the bedroom. "Lie down. Let me see how bad it is."

Yor hesitated, then reluctantly shed her gear and stretched out on the bed, face down.

"…That's a lot of blood," Draconis Yi muttered, frowning. The black dress had hidden it, but now the wound was impossible to miss—deep, angry, and still bleeding.

"Should heal in a week or so," Yor whispered, trying to sound tough. She'd survived worse; a little ointment and time usually did the trick.

Draconis Yi shook his head, reaching for a damp towel. "If you want to suffer through it, be my guest."

He dabbed away the blood, hands gentle but firm. Under his touch, Yor's body felt strong, resilient—and yet, unmistakably soft. Lying exposed, she could feel his gaze, warm and intense, making her skin flush.

"Um… didn't you say healing needs skin contact?" Yor stammered, remembering last time when he'd just held her hand.

Draconis Yi chuckled. "People are usually shy about this sort of thing, huh?" Maybe he was the odd one out; Rias had never hesitated, but Yor's bashfulness was endearing.

Still, the wound needed fixing.

"We're married now. Sharing a bed—and a little intimacy—is part of the deal, isn't it?" he teased, stripping off his own gear and sliding in beside her.

Their skin met, and magic flowed gently into Yor's body. Her cheeks burned as she nestled against him, feeling the warmth seep into her wound. The pain faded, replaced by a gentle heat.

Draconis Yi closed his eyes, focusing on the healing. Yor watched him, heart pounding—embarrassed, yes, but deeply moved.

It took half an hour to finish. Draconis Yi opened his eyes, a little sheepish. Healing wasn't his specialty; Asia could've fixed it in seconds.

"All done. How do you feel?"

Yor tested the spot, fingers probing. Her eyes lit up. "It's… completely healed!"

Draconis Yi grinned. "Of course. Not even a scar—smooth as ever." He gave the spot a playful pat.

"…!"

Yor's face flamed. Draconis Yi couldn't help but laugh—she was adorable. So tough in the field, so shy at home.

He reached out, brushing her cheek. "Let your husband steal a kiss."

Yor blushed, but obediently closed her eyes. Their lips met—gentler this time, but deeper, more practiced. Her heart hammered in her chest.

Soon, the kiss deepened, bodies entwined. Draconis Yi rolled over, pinning her beneath him…

What happened next felt inevitable.

Yor floated, lost in warmth and sensation. It was a long time before she came back to herself.

By afternoon, she finally stirred, curled in Draconis Yi's arms. They dressed, slipped out to buy groceries, chatted with neighbors, and returned home.

That night, Yor—having tasted forbidden fruit—was tangled up with Draconis Yi again. The house felt alive with their laughter, their presence everywhere, like a pair of newlyweds.

Two blissful days passed. Then, the new school term arrived.

Draconis Yi kissed Yor goodbye and returned to his castle-sized home.

Inside, Asia and Xenovia were buried in homework, groaning over assignments they'd forgotten during their Underworld trip. The joys of student life, Draconis Yi mused.

He left them undisturbed, heading off to find Rias. But as he reached the door, a strange aura brushed his senses.

He glanced at Asia and the others—none of them noticed a thing.

Draconis Yi stepped outside, following the energy into the busy street.

It didn't take long to spot her—a petite girl with long black hair and eyes dark as polished gems. But beneath her delicate appearance, Draconis Yi sensed something dangerous, ancient.

She looked up, meeting his gaze.

"Your power isn't like theirs," she said, voice calm, eyes searching him as if to see straight through.

"Who are you?" Draconis Yi asked, unsettled. That energy… where had he felt it before? The Khaos Brigade, maybe—they carried a similar aura.

"She's Ophis. The Infinite Dragon God," came a familiar voice.

Draconis Yi turned. A twelve-winged fallen angel hovered nearby—Azazel.

"Sensei?" Draconis Yi blinked. "What brings you here?"

Azazel shrugged. "Ran into this little troublemaker. Had to follow. You've probably guessed—she's the current leader of the Khaos Brigade."

Explosive news, but Draconis Yi stayed calm, earning an approving nod from Azazel.

That was what he liked best about Draconis Yi—cool under pressure, no matter what.
