"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 269: Count Me In Tonight Too
"So, what's going on here?"
Draconis Yi eyed Azazel, trying to make sense of why the Khaos Brigade's leader was suddenly in the mix.
Azazel shrugged, looking almost apologetic. "Don't give me that look. Ophis and I go way back—old acquaintances, you could say. Back then, he was a crusty old geezer. Seeing him like this now? Still throws me off."
He grimaced. "Yeah, I know this is risky, but Ophis insisted on meeting you. Wanted to get a feel for your power. So here I am, playing matchmaker."
Draconis Yi didn't bat an eye. "Want to come inside and sit?"
Bold move—inviting the leader of the Khaos Brigade into his home.
Ophis nodded, face blank. "Acceptable."
A sultry voice chimed in before anyone could move. A rift split the air, and a gorgeous woman in black stepped through, smiling with feline mischief.
Kuroka strolled over, eyes sparkling. "Let me come too, nya~ I want to see your place."
Draconis Yi just smirked. "I don't mind, but Shirone might not be thrilled."
Kuroka pouted, making a playful cat paw gesture. "How could she not? I'm her big sister, nya." She wrapped herself around Draconis Yi's arm, pressing close. "Come on, let me visit. I promise to behave."
Whatever lines had divided them before, Azazel's presence seemed to smooth things over. Draconis Yi let Kuroka cling to him, her soft curves impossible to ignore.
Back at the house, Rias and the others immediately sensed familiar presences and hurried out.
They paused at the sight of Ophis—stranger to them—but Kuroka was unmistakable.
"Draconis Yi, what's all this?" Rias's tone was wary, eyes flicking between Ophis and Kuroka. Shirone clenched her fists, glaring at her sister, who was still hanging off Draconis Yi.
Draconis Yi kept his cool. "No idea. Sensei made the introductions, so I brought them over."
The title "Khaos Brigade leader" sounded ominous, but he showed zero fear.
Azazel explained, "Ophis is curious about the source of Draconis Yi's power. Says it feels familiar—like something she's sensed in dimensional rifts before."
Draconis Yi was surprised. He knew his Sacred Gear came from another world, but for Ophis to sense that…
Ophis spoke up, voice flat. "His Sacred Gear wasn't made by the Biblical God." She'd already confirmed her theory upon meeting Draconis Yi.
Draconis Yi shrugged. "None of that really matters. You came all this way just to meet me? Your group's given us plenty of headaches, you know."
Kuroka giggled. "Oh, come on. We've never been true enemies, have we?"
She had a point. The Khaos Brigade had stirred up trouble, but it hadn't come to outright war. Draconis Yi had even gone easy on Kuroka for Shirone's sake.
Suddenly, Ophis declared, "I want to stay here. Your aura feels… like home."
Draconis Yi looked to Rias. "You'll have to ask her."
Rias blinked, taken aback. "Uh… this…"
Azazel smiled encouragingly. "It's an opportunity. The Khaos Brigade isn't a monolith."
Letting the Khaos Brigade's leader move in was nuts, but Draconis Yi's calm told Rias it wasn't a big deal. Besides, Azazel had a point.
With Rias's reluctant nod, Kuroka was the first to cheer. "Awesome! I get to live with my little sister~"
Shirone's face fell. Her feelings toward Kuroka were complicated at best.
So, just like that, Ophis and Kuroka moved in.
The next morning.
"We're off to school. You two can do whatever," Draconis Yi said to Ophis and Kuroka.
Kuroka grinned, grabbing his wrist. She pointed at Rias and Akeno, voice teasing.
"Hey, wait—did you guys mate last night?"
Draconis Yi groaned. "Does that have anything to do with you?"
Rias and Akeno were caught between laughter and mortification.
Kuroka winked. "Of course it does! If you did, count me in tonight too!"
Her words dropped like a bomb, leaving everyone speechless.
"Huh?"
Rias and the others stared, dumbfounded.
Kuroka just giggled. "I want to have kids with excellent bloodlines~ With your talent, that'd be perfect."
"No way!"
Rias snapped, bristling like a territorial cat.
Kuroka rolled her eyes. "Wasn't asking you, Princess. Why so worked up?"
"Of course I am! Draconis Yi is my Peerage—he's mine!" Rias shot back.
Kuroka smirked. "Whatever. I'll just seduce him when you're not looking, nya."
Shirone gave her sister a look that was equal parts exasperation and disbelief.
Even as class time approached, Rias was still fuming in the club room.
"This is ridiculous… What am I supposed to do?"
Draconis Yi couldn't help but laugh. If he was honest, Kuroka was still technically an enemy—getting tangled up with her made zero sense.
The first day of the new term was uneventful. Everyone headed home early.
Rias was surprised to find Ophis and Kuroka outside, facing off against a group.
"Who are they?" Rias frowned. This was their home—how dare anyone just barge in.
Kuroka yawned lazily as Draconis Yi and the others arrived. "Those guys are another Khaos Brigade faction—the Hero Faction. The one in front is named Cao Cao."
Draconis Yi's eyes narrowed, locking onto the man called Cao Cao.
Cao Cao? Seriously?
Was this guy for real…?
