After instructing Ubuyashiki to interrogate Muzan Kibutsuji for the medicine's formula, Emiya found himself with nothing left to do in the Demon Slayer world.
Five of the six Upper Ranks were already dead.
Muzan Kibutsuji was hiding, and for the moment, Emiya couldn't locate him.
That problem would have to be left to the Demon Slayer Corps.
Unfortunately, even the current Demon Slayer Corps had no way to find Muzan.
So Emiya decided it was time to leave this world and explore another.
Before doing so, he went to the DanMachi world to check on how the Demon Slayer Corps members were doing there.
At the Hephaestus Familia, Emiya learned directly from Hephaestus that the Demon Slayers were completely immersed in adventuring.
They left at eight in the morning.
They returned at eight at night.
At least half of every day was spent inside the dungeon.
The reason was simple.
They wanted to grow stronger.
Hephaestus couldn't stop them and didn't try to.
All she could do was instruct her Familia's blacksmiths to forge sturdy armor for them.
Armor that could save their lives at critical moments.
The Demon Slayer Corps' strength was increasing at a frightening pace.
As for the Swordsmiths, after joining the Hephaestus Familia, they were learning advanced forging techniques.
Once those techniques were integrated with their own skills, their growth would explode.
Even Tsubaki was openly looking forward to their future.
"It seems you're very satisfied with those Swordsmiths," Emiya said while sipping his tea.
"Yes," Hephaestus replied with a smile.
"Tsubaki and I are both looking forward to what they'll become. They'll definitely be the backbone of our Familia. If you meet blacksmiths like them in other worlds, don't forget to tell me."
"No problem," Emiya agreed easily.
He then took two letters from his pocket and handed them over.
"These are from Ubuyashiki. One is for you. The other is for the Demon Slayer Corps."
Hephaestus set the letters aside.
"I'll give them to them when they return."
Emiya smiled, finished his tea, and stood up.
Hephaestus didn't try to keep him.
After seeing him off, she opened the letter addressed to her and began reading.
After leaving the Hephaestus Familia, Emiya headed to the Miach Familia.
Their base was the Blue Apothecary.
When Emiya entered, he saw a sleepy, listless girl slumped over the counter.
Hearing footsteps, she snapped upright.
"Welcome."
Emiya glanced at her arm.
A prosthetic.
So this was the girl who had nearly destroyed the Miach Familia.
Micha.
He remembered that she was in love with Miach, while Miach himself remained completely oblivious.
"What can I get for you?" Micha said enthusiastically.
"Even though the Blue Apothecary is small, our elixirs are top-notch."
Emiya smiled.
"I'm looking for Tanjiro Kamado."
Micha froze and looked him up and down.
"Who are you? And how do you know Tanjiro?"
"You could say we're friends."
Realization dawned on her face.
"You're the benefactor Tanjiro always talks about!"
"Benefactor?" Emiya said.
"I think it was a fair trade."
"But Tanjiro always calls you his great benefactor."
"That's probably because he's a very gentle person."
"That's true," Micha said with a smile.
"But you came at a bad time. Tanjiro is adventuring in the dungeon."
"Then what about Nezuko Kamado?" Emiya asked.
"Is she here?"
Micha smiled awkwardly.
"She went with Tanjiro."
Emiya sighed.
Unfortunate.
"Then Shinobu Kocho must be here, right?"
"You even know Shinobu?"
"You could say we're friends."
"She's also in the dungeon. With Tanjiro and Nezuko."
Emiya rubbed his temples.
"She should be studying medicine, not diving into the dungeon."
"She's collecting special herbs," Micha explained.
Emiya paused.
Then understood.
"I see. Do you know how deep they went?"
"About the tenth floor, I think."
"Alright." Emiya opened a portal on the spot.
Under Micha's shocked gaze, he stepped through and vanished.
The next moment, Emiya appeared on the tenth floor of the dungeon.
He searched around, killing several monsters, but didn't find anyone.
Had they gone deeper?
He descended.
Eleventh floor.
Nothing.
Twelfth.
Thirteenth.
Fourteenth.
Fifteenth.
All the way down to the seventeenth floor.
By then, he had killed hundreds of monsters and absorbed a fresh supply of life force.
Still no sign of them.
Had he misjudged?
Maybe they were actually above the ninth floor.
Emiya turned back and headed upward.
On the seventh floor, he finally found them.
Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado were fighting a group of spider monsters.
Nezuko no longer had the bamboo in her mouth.
She moved fluidly through the battlefield, kicking spider monsters to death with ease.
"Onii-chan, leave this side to me."
She guarded Tanjiro's back, preventing any ambush.
With his sister protecting him, Tanjiro fought without hesitation.
Water Breathing flowed smoothly with his Nichirin Blade.
Each slash cleanly decapitated a spider monster.
Not bad.
Tanjiro was clearly maintaining Total Concentration Breathing Constant.
His strength was solid.
But Nezuko was even more impressive.
Her power already rivaled a Lower Rank demon.
And more importantly, she had regained her rationality.
Her speech was clear.
Miach truly lived up to his title as a god of medicine.
After the last monster fell, Emiya walked over.
"Hey, Tanjiro Kamado."
"L-Lord Emiya!" Tanjiro hurriedly sheathed his sword and bowed.
"Are you here to train in the dungeon as well?"
Nezuko also bowed immediately.
She remembered clearly who had saved her.
"No," Emiya said.
"I came to find you."
He took out a letter.
"I went to the Blue Apothecary. You weren't there. This is from your master, Sakonji Urokodaki."
Tanjiro accepted it with both hands.
"Master..." His face lit up.
Emiya continued, "Read it whenever you want. By the way, where's Shinobu?"
"She's collecting herbs nearby."
Emiya smiled.
"Seems you already know who she is."
Tanjiro nodded.
"When I saw the Insect Hashira here, I was shocked. I didn't expect so many Demon Slayers to come to Orario."
"Take me to her."
"Yes." Tanjiro led the way.
They soon found Shinobu gathering herbs.
"Oh my," she said with mild surprise.
"Lord Emiya. What a coincidence."
"It's not," Emiya replied, handing her a letter.
"This is from your Master."
Shinobu accepted it, visibly surprised.
"That's all I came for," Emiya said.
"Enjoy yourselves."
He had only come to deliver letters.
One for Hephaestus.
One for the Demon Slayer Corps.
One for Shinobu.
And one from Sakonji Urokodaki for Tanjiro.
Now that everything was done, he said goodbye to Shinobu, Tanjiro, and Nezuko, left the dungeon, and returned to the surface.
After that, Emiya headed to Twilight Manor.
He found Loki.
"Yo, Loki."
The moment she saw him, she rushed over, grabbed his collar, and shook him violently.
"How dare you show your face here?!"
Emiya felt the world spin and forcibly broke free.
He glared at her.
"What the hell is wrong with you, Loki?"
