Vivian forced a smile and continued, "I just noticed Sophia earlier—it looked like she even put on makeup. She's naturally beautiful, but wearing makeup during her period isn't good. It can clog her pores. I usually don't wear any at all."
Lucas was cutting Sophia's steak into small pieces.
Every word coming out of Vivian's mouth made him like her a little less.

She stepped closer and swiped a finger across Vivian's cheek—coming away with a thin layer of foundation.
