Pov: Eirian
The sky started to fall slowly, as snow like glimarce from the white dome that appeared from above us cracked.
Below me, the mutated moose stood below me as Ael dropped to the floor besides it head and Amiel at his hand.
From afar, I could hear Eira running towards us. "Are you guys okay!?" She yelled. The gun faded from existence.
I chuckled, "Yeah… yeah, I think we are fine." The situation felt surreal to me. First the bunker and now this. The world had become different from before. We were living in a new age.
"Ael? Amiel?" I rang out, waiting for a reply.
"Please don't talk to me right now, I feel like passing out right now with how much blood I used."
Amiel laughed, "Something got to him finally." He looked at me, leaning against the hand. "I'm fine, thank you for asking."
"The veil, it looks like it's falling." Eira held out her hand to catch some of the white shimmers floating down.
"Yeah… it is," I replied. "It's finally over."
A tired smile appeared on my face as the other sat in silence, taking in the moment.
---
The sun rose as the other still slept. Looking at my wounds, they were healing relatively quickly. It didn't look like scars would be left.
Getting up to get myself some food, I took some canned food and scarfed it down. When I did, I stared at the other sleeping.
'Ael should be fine today, he only had a few bruises. The same should be with Amiel, he took a lot of frontal attacks, but it seemed as if his body was built for it.' My eyes wandered off to Eira, 'I don't even think she even got one single wound shooting from afar.'
Looking back outside, I saw the sky still falling. Curious, I grabbed my coat and walked out. As my feet stepped in the snow, the rubble of the tower was left everywhere.
Letting out a sigh, my breath could be seen in the air. "Wonder how much longer until the veil completely falls." Staring off into the distance, I sat up against the wall of the cafeteria.
I lingered watching the sight of it all for a moment. When I did, the door suddenly opened.
"What are you doing?" A head peeked through the door, and Eira looked at me.
"You're awake?" I asked.
She stared at me, then sat next to me. "How are your wounds doing?"
"Fine." I took a pause, "I appreciate you having my back yesterday."
The ends of her lips curled. "You welcome," She nodded.
She stared off in the distance, "That's one heck of a miracle you have there, to think you can just summon a weapon."
She laughed, "It's not even my main miracle."
"Huh?" I turned pale.
"Look." She pointed next to her as a translucent figure appeared next to her. It didn't stand on its two feet, but rather floated in a blue omonice mist. There weren't any defining features to this figure besides some feminine-like face that almost appeared like Eira herself.
"What is that!?"
"An astral projection, it acts like a scout, I can even see what it's seeing," she replied.
I don't say anything.
'How did I get stuck with these miracles while she got the ability to conjure a weapon and a free personal scout!'
"Eirian? Are you okay?"
My face fell into my hands. "Yeah..." Getting up slowly, I looked back down at her, "Let's get back inside, it's cold out here."
She nodded.
When I open the door, I see Amiel waking up and Ael making food.
"What were you doing out there?" Amiel turned to me.
"Getting fresh air." I looked around, seeing Ael making food. "Anyways, how are both of you doing?"
Ael turned to face us, "Better than before now that I actually have blood." Amiel chuckled, "Same here."
Amiel's eyes stared past me, "Looks like the veil should be falling soon."
More cracks appeared in the sky, and it seemed weakened compared to before.
Amiel got up from the floor and started to walk towards the counter. When he does, Ael puts out a plate in front of him.
"We should probably discuss what's next?" Ael served a liquid of some sort. It looked like tea.
I raised an eyebrow.
"We need to start packing food for our journey out of here. We don't know how much of the country has fallen, so our best bet is to get to the capital." Amiel replied.
"That's a long trip," I added on.
"He's right, that's our best bet right now." Ael placed more food at the counter for Eira. She walked up and sat down. Turning towards me, he said, "Also, want some?"
I waved my hand, "I'm fine, already had some food this morning."
"Thank you!" Eira exclaimed.
"Regardless, the capital is where it's most likely to be safe." Amiel took a bite out of his food, "It's a bit north of us, but it's doable."
"You're not wrong..." I thought about it a bit more, "How much would we have to pack then?"
Amiel took one last bite, "Just an extra week's worth should be fine."
