Chapter 257 - Chapter 257

"Ms. Tsurumi will take care of them. The two of us will spend sometime together and then reunite with your sister later," Akira Fujimiya said calmly.

"Okay." Saki Kawasaki nodded and looked at Saori Tsurumi.

Saori smiled at her, gave her a reassuring look, and then followed the two little girls.

Akira and Saki walked toward the other side of the park.

As they strolled, they talked about the upcoming final exams, Riko Kawasaki's discharge date, and their summer vacation plans. Saki wanted to spend the summer traveling with Akira but was still worried about how her mother would perceive it.

Akira did not tell Saki about the confrontation he had prepared. He only reassured her that he would handle any problem that arose.

Saki, trusting him, temporarily set aside her worries and focused on enjoying the amusement park rides with him.

.....

Meanwhile, Tsurumi Rumi noticed Akira and Saki walking away. She had long suspected their relationship.

When Kawasaki Keika turned around and realized her sister was gone, she did not panic. Instead, a small smile appeared on her face.

She understood perfectly—her sister had gone to spend time with Akira.

She had seen the two of them kiss before, but she had no intention of telling anyone, especially not their mother.

.....

About an Hour later,

After walking and playing for about an hour, Akira and Saki reunited with Saori Tsurumi and the two little girls.

Kawasaki Keika ran toward them with bright eyes. Saki's face flushed slightly as she handed over the drinks she was holding to the three of them.

"Thank you," Rumi said softly. Saori glanced at Akira and Saki with a smile.

"What should we do next?" Akira asked, looking at the group.

"Akira nii-san, can we ride the Ferris wheel? I want to ride with Keika," Rumi said, holding up her small hand.

"Then should I sit with your sister?" Akira asked Keika, glancing at Saki.

"Yes!" Keika nodded happily.

Saki blushed and lowered her head, unsure of what to say.

Her sister was clearly trying to bring the two of them closer together. Even Rumi might have noticed the obvious matchmaking.

"Let's take a short break and ride the Ferris wheel to enjoy the view. After that, we can go to the gift shop. I want to pick a gift for each of you," Akira said with a warm smile.

"Thank you, Akira nii-san," Keika said, glancing at her sister and smiling at him.

Rumi opened her mouth, ready to refuse the offer, but she could not find the right words.

"Rumi-san, thank you for taking care of Keika. Just get whatever gift you like later. I am rich, you know." Akira said with a smirk.

"...Thank you," Rumi replied after a brief hesitation.

Akira reached out and patted her head.

Seeing this, Keika also came closer, Akira gently placed his hands on the two girls' heads, gentle patting them both.

After resting for a while, several people arrived at the Ferris wheel — Saori Tsurumi brought the two little girls, and Akira took Saki Kawasaki's hand.

As the Ferris wheel started moving, Akira whispered, "It seems your sister has noticed our relationship."

"She...she was just looking forward to us being together. It's not like she discovered anything," Saki replied, lowering her head.

"We disappeared for an hour, but she didn't seem anxious at all. When we met again, she looked rather happy, and her actions were such obvious matchmaking," Akira said with a faint smile.

"Then… what should we do?" Saki asked nervously.

She worried that her sister might tell their mother.

"Don't worry. Your sister is very smart. She probably won't tell anyone," Akira said softly.

"But…"

"If she really told Aunt Kawasaki, I will confess everything myself," Akira said seriously.

Saki's eyes widened in surprise.

Akira's gaze was firm and unyielding.

".....If my mother is angry and want me to leave, I will just say I owe you a lot of money and can't leave," Saki muttered after a pause.

"Then I'll happily play the role of bad guy," Akira said gently, pulling Saki into his arms.

"You're are… the kindest bad person I could wish for...," Saki whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Saki, you are really occupying more of my heart, second only to Yukino and Yui." Akira said softly, looking down at her.

"I thought I was more like Yumiko…" Saki said hesitantly.

"Under certain circumstances, your position in my heart will be increase," Akira replied confidently.

"...I don't care what position I hold. I only care whether there is a place for me in your heart. Even if it's small, I'll be happy, because it means I exist in your heart."

"And At this moment, you completely occupy my heart," Akira whispered.

Saki raised her head, and Akira lowered his and kissed her.

...

When the Ferris wheel came to a stop, Saki and Akira stepped off together.

Keika looked at them and noticed her sister's flushed face. A small, joyful smile spread across her own face.

On the way to the gift shop, Keika held her sister's hand and then reached out to Akira.

"Akira nii-san," she said softly.

Akira smiled and held her other hand.

The three of them walking together resembled a small, happy family.

Saki glanced at Akira and then at her sister. Akira turned to look at her.

Saki lowered her head shyly. Akira chuckled quietly, glancing forward.

"Akira nii-san, do you like my sister?" Keika suddenly asked.

"Of course I like her," Akira replied without hesitation.

"Then stay with her. I won't tell anyone else. I don't want her to leave Sakurasou," Keika said softly.

"Don't worry. She won't leave, and you won't either," Akira replied reassuringly.

"Nee-san, come on," Keika said again, tugging Saki's hand.

{T/N: In OreGairu, Keika Kawasaki affectionately calls her older sister Saki "Saa-chan" (Sa-chan), while Saki calls her "Kei-chan," This is what I found in wiki, but I am changing it to nee-san}

Saki looked at her sister and nodded in agreement.

At the gift shop, the two little girls chose the same gift, smiling at each other as they did.

.....

For lunch, Akira asked Saori to drive them to Soma Yukihira's restaurant.

After ordering a few dishes, Akira spoke with Joichiro Saiba about the start time of the upcoming food competition. Preparation was already underway, and the expected start date was in August.

The website promotions had already begun.

There would be thirty contestants in the first competition. Even the lowest-ranked participants were reserves from the Ten Great Totsuki chefs.

Subaru Mimasaka would also be participating.

Joichiro's expression became serious upon hearing this.

"There are at least fifteen people from the Gourmet Club, I'm not sure about Totsuki Academy. I may sign two people—Soma Yukihira, and another promising talent," Akira explained simply.

"The stronger the opponents, the better for Soma. As long as he can stand at the cooking table, he will continue to challenge them until he succeeds," Joichiro said seriously.

"I believe in his strength," Akira said with a nod.

"Thank you for your trust," Joichiro replied with a smile.

He knew Akira trusted Soma's abilities wholeheartedly.

When the food arrived, both Saori and Saki were slightly surprised. They hadn't expected such excellent cuisine from such a small shop.

"He's a top-tier chef. Even chefs from high-end restaurants may not be able to surpass him," Akira explained.

"Do you know this chef personally?" Saori asked curiously.

"I plan to invest in him and open a restaurant. When I have time, I'll visit and enjoy his food," Akira said with a small smile.

Saori nodded, silently impressed.

After lunch, they arrived at the cinema. Akira had originally planned to hold Saki's hand and watch the entire movie with her, but at that moment, Hanada Yui called.

He stepped outside to answer.

"Akira-sama, she was expelled from school…" Hanada Yui's voice trembled slightly.

"Where is she now?" Akira's eyes lit up instantly, already guessing who Hanada was talking about.

"She didn't dare contact her family. I've arranged for her things to be moved, and she'll stay at my place temporarily," Hanada Yui explained. She noticed Akira's visible excitement.

"Is she still at Totsuki Academy?" Akira asked, his mind racing.
