Upon arriving in Satarara Village, Jack immediately headed to the village head's house to search for information about Rose, whom he believed he could trace there. His car stopped in front of a modest house with a wide yard filled with flowering plants.
"This must be the place," Jack muttered as he turned off the engine and stepped out, carrying a small bag containing a recorder and a camera.
"Rose?" murmured Suroso, the head of Satarara Village, staring ahead as if trying to recall something important connected to that name. His brows furrowed deeply, his hand rubbing his chin as he thought hard.
"Rose… Rose… I think I've heard that name before," Suroso said softly. "But it was a very long time ago. That happened decades ago."
Mirna, Suroso's wife, came out carrying a tray of coffee. As soon as she heard the name, she sat down beside her husband, clearly drawn to the major incident that had once shaken Satarara Village 35 years earlier.
