Chapter 108: Colossus - 1
HOOOOOOONNGGGGGGG!
The magic circle kept expanding relentlessly, its glowing glyphs stretching far beyond a hundred-meter mark. Then came the sound—an ear-bursting siren—no, a roar, the kind only a giant, ancient beast could produce. The air trembled, and the ground quivered beneath Leo's boots.
Before he could even think about escaping, the space below him warped and expanded violently.
A sudden, terrifying force slammed into him from beneath.
Leo was flung backwards as though fired from a cannon. His stomach dropped as his body was hurled through the air at terrifying speed toward the other edge of the stomach—he must have been thrown at least at a speed of fifty kilometers per hour. Still, he hadn't received any real damage. Somehow, the armor covering his body activated, absorbing most of the impact.
"S-shit!"
He crossed his arms and braced himself for the inevitable collision with the dense forest ahead…
Yet it never came.
