Then something inside him finally snapped.
Gabe lifted his head and glared up at Sabe, his eyes blazing with a fury he had held back for far too long.
"Wait a damn minute," he shot back, his voice sharp and shaking. "Why do you even care if I had sex with someone?"
Sabe opened his mouth, but Gabe didn't give him the chance to interrupt.
"You slept with Matthew," Gabe continued, his words coming out louder, harsher. "You even got him pregnant!" he yelled. "So how exactly is it your concern if I slept with someone else? We're not in love anymore. You should be focusing on your new lover and of course, your unborn baby."
His chest heaved as years of resentment poured out.
With all the strength he had left, Gabe raised his hand and delivered a sharp, thunderous slap across Sabe's face.
The impact echoed through the living room.
