Arthur watched and watched. There wasn't anything but empty, dead land for a few hours, and then he saw something darker. No, he felt it. The statue slightly slowed, and Arthur could hear water slashing. Wondering what was happening, he leaned over the shoulder of the statue and looked downwards.
He saw nothing, and then his hatred sense screamed a warning. Confused, he focused his eyes, only for his blood to freeze, as a dozen shapes became visible to him.
Letting out a breath and calming down, Arthur summoned Dawn's ballad just in case and just waited.
Nothing happened for a few more hours.
Then something changed, Arthur saw a grayish sun slowly rising, and as if a switch was flipped, the darkness started lowering.
Before Arthur's astonished eyes, the dark sea slowly vanished and was gone.
What remained was beautiful and dreadful at the same time.
Wherever he turned, Arthur only saw a red forest.
Looking downwards once again, he saw what looked to be a maze made out of crimson colar like trees.
Arthur silently weighed his options.
He could either climb down, into what looked to be actual hell.
Or he could just remain on the statue.
Arthur let out a slight chuckle, when worded like that, the choice was quite obvious.
And so he leaned against the statues neck, and feeling quite safe, decided to take a nap.
