Eden's Pov
I get up with a loud groan, my body feeling heavy and stiff. I turn over to the other side of the large, empty bed and let out another big yawn, covering my mouth with my hand.
For a moment, I just stop and stare through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The curtains are pulled all the way back, and the morning light is pouring in. I can still smell his cologne lingering in the air, a faint but familiar scent.
But when I turn to his side of the bed, it's empty and neatly made. He isn't there. I can't believe I slept through him getting up and leaving. I sit up fully and swing my legs over the side, my feet hitting the cool floor. I stroll into the bathroom, and my eyes immediately catch on a small note stuck to the corner of the mirror.
> I don't know if you'd like your breakfast cold, but call me if you'd need anything. I'll send someone to make it for you.
