Enzo's Pov
Eliza quickly pulls her hands away from my chest, jumping back from me like she's been burned. Robbin's face blares a bright, furious red. She doesn't say a word, just turns on her heel and storms out of the closet. I turn back to Eliza, my mind racing.
"I've really got to go," I tell her, the words feeling useless and inadequate.
She just gives a quick, sharp nod, her hands coming up to cover her face as if to hide her own embarrassment. I don't have time to deal with that right now. I run after Robbin, my heart hammering hard and fast against my ribs. How did she get so far so fast?
"Robbin, wait!" I yell, my voice echoing in the hallway. She stops near the foyer, her body tense in her sharp business outfit and high pumps. She doesn't turn around, but I see her hand come up to quickly wipe away tears.
