I don't understand why I still care about him. Even though I was furious when he divorced me as if I had never been part of his life. He accused me of cheating and hurt my feelings.
But when I see his pleading face, all the memories of him haunt me again, as if they won't let me be alone with my new world.
Only then did I realize that he no longer belonged to me, but to someone else who was now engaged to him. I shouldn't still have these feelings. Love is blind, but I have to be able to walk in the dark and blindness of my heart because I don't want to hurt and ruin someone else's relationship because of my selfishness.
Just as I was about to leave, he grabbed my arm and pulled me onto his lap. Still in shock, I could only stare into his eyes while holding myself back from leaning too close to him.
