Tristan stood before her, staring at her intently. His towering figure made Evelyne feel so small. She stood tall, staring back at him without a hint of fear. Ready for whatever consequences she might face.
"Get out of here," he said firmly. He paused for a moment before finally continuing his sentence. "Go back to your desk and continue your work. I want everything finished before lunch."
The victorious smile on Edna's face immediately faded when she heard this. She had thought that her son would fire the woman she considered to be a bad luck charm for their family. But he didn't do that.
"Wait, so you mean I..." Evelyne tried to clarify his words. She was worried that she had misheard him.
"Do I have to repeat myself twice? Go back to your desk, Secretary Evelyne. Now!" he said again, this time much louder than before.
