"Are you kidding me? You want me to keep this from Sangwon?" Youngsoo snapped, his voice cutting sharply through the loud music of the pub.
It earned him a cold glare from Taeryn, a lollipop resting lazily between his lips.
"Why can't you keep it?" he asked casually. "It's not difficult."
Youngsoo sighed heavily, leaning forward with one hand braced against the bar. "It's not about it being difficult, it's about it being impossible. Sangwon is smart. Too smart. Sometimes it's honestly disturbing. He owns the whole organization so he will definitely figure it out, and he cares too much about you. Keeping the fact that the Serpents are targeting you specifically is a bad idea."
Taeryn sighed. He wanted this conversation to end fast. He admired Youngsoo, but right now his patience was thin.
He'd left Rihan at home after coming back with the groceries, lying that he was heading out again to get more sweets for the twins who were coming over.
