Police and fire sirens flooded the scene. Officers swarmed the area while firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Luckily, no one had died.
Taeryn avoided interrogation with ease. He wasn't shaken, he was just mildly disappointed.
His sweets and doughnuts had been in the car. They'd exploded too.
He glanced at Sera, who was speaking with a familiar detective. Taeryn cocked his head.
"Minjae?"
The beta detective. Rihan's partner.
Taeryn twisted his lips. It would've been worse if it were Rihan. But Rihan only cared if someone had died, and since no one had, he wouldn't be interested.
Still, Taeryn needed to distract him. Maybe the sex dungeon....
He pulled out another lollipop, unwrapped it, and slid it into his mouth.
Sera smiled at Minjae. He nodded and walked away. Then she turned back to Taeryn.
