Daisy stood completely still in his arms, feeling the warmth of his chest against her back, the rapid beat of his heart — beating for her.
She slowly turned around, and Leo loosened his hold just enough for her to face him. His hands slid down to her waist, fingers gripping her like he feared she'd vanish if he let go.
Their foreheads touched.
Breath to breath.
Heart to heart.
"Do you remember our final year school play?" he asked quietly, eyes locked onto hers.
Daisy blinked through her tears. "Of course… I was the lead actress."
"And I…" he smiled weakly, "I was the prince who forgot his lines because I was staring at you."
She scoffed a tiny laugh through her tears.
Leo brushed his thumb across her cheek, slow and gentle.
"You weren't just playing a role," he continued. "You were always the girl I wanted… even when I was too scared to say it."
Her heart thumped painfully — the good kind of pain she hadn't felt in a long time.
Without realizing it, her hands slid up his chest, gripping his shirt.
Leo swallowed hard. His gaze dropped to her lips.
"Daisy…"
It sounded like a prayer on his tongue.
He leaned in… slowly… giving her time to stop him.
His lips brushed against hers — just a whisper of a touch — enough to set her entire body on fire.
Her breath hitched.
He pulled back slightly, eyes dark with desire and fear.
Daisy stared at him — the man who destroyed her and the man she still loved.
That was all he needed.
Leo kissed her fully — deep and hungry — like he'd been dying for this moment. His hands slid up her back, pulling her closer until not even air dared to separate them.
She melted into him, fingers tangled in his hair, kissing him back with every piece of hurt and love inside her.
But just when it felt like they might fall straight into the fire together…
Daisy suddenly pulled away, breathing fast — cheeks flushed, lips swollen.
"I'm still angry," she said, voice shaking.
Leo nodded, resting his forehead against hers again — breath ragged.
"I know. And I'll spend every day earning back your forgiveness," he whispered. "But let me love you while I do it."
Daisy's heart flipped painfully.
Their breaths were still tangled, the heat between them still burning…
when suddenly —
📱 RING RING
Daisy's phone lit up on the coffee table.
The name on the screen stabbed Leo straight in the chest:
"Demon"
His entire expression changed.
The warmth in his eyes turned sharp—possessive.
That old fear and jealousy resurfaced instantly.
Daisy quickly reached for the phone, panic flickering across her face.
"It's nothing—" she tried to say,
But Leo's hand was faster.
He snatched the phone and stared at the name like it was a threat.
"What does he want with you?"
His voice dropped low… dangerous.
"Leo— give it back."
He didn't move.
Didn't blink.
"You came here to clear your head," he said, jaw tight. "Not to let someone else get inside it."
Daisy grabbed the phone from his hand, chest rising and falling.
"He's just a friend. He was just talking to me because I was alone—"
"I should've been the one there," Leo snapped, taking a step toward her.
"I should've been the one you talked to. The one you leaned on. The one you needed."
Daisy's eyes softened despite her frustration.
"You hurt me, Leo," she whispered. "I didn't know if I could trust you."
He closed his eyes, pained… but when he opened them again,
🔥 that jealousy was STILL there
🔥 that love was STILL stronger
He walked right up to her — close enough that she felt the heat radiating off him.
"One thing you should never doubt," he murmured, voice deep and raw,
"is how much I want you."
Before she could respond —
His hand cupped her jaw…
And his lips crashed into hers.
This kiss—
wasn't gentle like before.
It was intense.
Hungry.
Claiming.
His fingers slid into her hair, tilting her head to deepen the kiss.
He backed her against the wall, bodies pressed tight, hearts racing.
She gasped against his mouth — but she didn't push him away.
Her hands clutched his shirt, pulling him even closer.
Every bit of jealousy in him poured into that kiss —
Fear of losing her
Pain of the past
Love he couldn't hide
When they finally pulled apart, both breathless and shaken…
Leo rested his forehead against hers, eyes burning into hers.
"I don't want any man calling you at night," he whispered.
"You're mine, Daisy."
Her lips parted, heat flooding her skin…
But she still forced out the truth:
"Then you will prove it to me, Leo…"
His fingers trailed down her arm, slow and possessive.
"With pleasure," he whispered.
