The day was beautiful in Tokyo. The vibrant city of Shinjuku pulsed with life. The air was fresh and soft, filled with the scent of flower petals drifting like whispers from the trees. The streets swarmed with people moving to and fro, lost in their daily rhythms. Tokyo was indeed blessed.
High above, on the rooftop of a Shinjuku skyscraper, a masked man cloaked in black stood. Beside him floated his small alien partner, Gaza a white, tomato-shaped creature with a single eye and black lips.
"What do you think of the view, Goto-sama?" Gaza asked. His partner, the sentinel of night, stood like a shadow.
"It's _you_ who gets lonely, Gaza-san," the masked figure replied, inhaling the crisp air. He sprang off the building, arms spread wide, feeling the wind slash his face. He landed soundlessly, unnoticed by the hurrying crowds. Shielded by a powerful barrier, even the top soccerer of Jotyu could not even sense them. He strolled among humans, Gaza floating like a ghost trails behind him.
"As I walk, I hear the thumping heartbeats of every human. Humans…" He paused, his voice cold behind the mask. "Humans are the worst creatures in the universe. They turn their backs on each other, learn to trust, risk lives… yet fail to see the sacrifices made. Neighbors turn against neighbors, friends turn enemies."
He stopped at a zebra crossing, staring up at giant screens featuring animations and a popular actress, Sakura. He raised his left hand.
"Oh, Rinze… if only I could see your face once more. Maybe there's a future," he murmured, remembering Rinze Hahira, the purple-haired girl killed in Japan's greatest conflict. His friends had failed to protect her. His fist clenched, and the sound of crushing bones echoed in his mind.
"But humans are petty lambs waiting to be slaughtered. Nothing will give me greater joy than seeing this city on its knees. Before I carry out my plan, there's unfinished business."
"Uh, Goto-sama, don't tell me you're planning to raze Shibuya and Shinjuku while the soccerers are still on our tail?" Gaza intruded, sensing Goto's bloodlust.
Goto sighed. "I suppose you're right. To execute my plan, I must eliminate the Jotyu rats first."
"The only obstacle is Kojou. He's the one strong enough to defeat you, my lord," Gaza warned.
"Don't worry. I know someone who can handle him." Together, they vanished, reappearing in the sky, surveying Tokyo's splendor.
"What a magnificent sight. A shame before it's all wasted. Human lives mean nothing to me now. They must be erased."
Saint Ann's Church.
Two figures soaked in a warm pool, enjoying their first peaceful bath since Italy.
"Oh, it's been so long!" Reyna moaned, splashing water over her chest.
"Doesn't it feel strange?" Shea said, a towel wrapped around her head, still uneasy. "soccerers, lust demons, Tygarians… We should find whoever's is behind this transgrand chaos before more people die."
"Ugh, Shea-san, it can wait. Tomorrow. We're tired. Let the soccerers handle things for now. Later, we'll take over. Sounds good?" Reyna floated, relaxed.
"Yeah… you're right," Shea conceded.
Shohoku High: Amanda waited anxiously for Yutsuki, hearing of the tragedy that hit his family. Pity swirled for her crush.
Flashback:
Amanda and her friends could be seen strolled through Shinjuku that's very night chatting, when a weird moon appear in the sky, seen a weird moon. Sirens blared evacuating the town telling people to leave. The next day, Terma's destruction followed, the Kazama clan… pain lingered.
Present.
Rain pounded against the crumbling streets, echoing Goto's hollow heart. Goto Hiragama, once Jotyu's pride, now a shard of himself. Rinze. Her name was a wound. She was his sunlight. Through his bizarro eyes, he saw shadows. And they took her. His teammates Kojou, Yamato, and Mei stood blind to the storm brewing in his chest. They mourned, dressed in black, holding umbrellas that blocked the angry lashes of rain as nature itself wept. Flowers surrounded Rinze's tomb.
Her last smile haunted him — a mirror of his failure. The pain fermented into poison. In the darkness, Goto sharpened his resolve.
"Revenge is a fire," he whispered. For rinze. For honor. For himself. Thunder growled. He smiled a crack in his mask, lightning scorching through the skies.
