"Fire Breath: The Last Dragon Lord’s Rebirth" In the rain-soaked streets of Tokyo, Hajime Sadori—a bright, relentless high school nerd of Shohoku High’s basketball team—meets his end on his first date with Kari Monata, a mysterious member of the sinister Black Pool. Rejected forty times by girls he dared to ask out, Hajime’s fleeting triumph turns to ash when Kari’s secrets unleash a brutal murder. Yet in death’s darkness, a dying legend’s defiance ignites a miracle: Sanji Novara, the wounded Last Dragon Lord, transmigrates his soul into Hajime’s. Reborn with inferno-hidden veins, Hajime now harbors the fury of a soccerer—a guardian of a forgotten lineage. Bound to secrecy, he walks dual paths: the clordinary life of a Shohoku student and the shadow quest to find _Champion_, the fabled Red Dragon. Legends whisper this crimson giant can summon storms, command oceans, and cleave mountains—if Hajime can master the wildfire within. With teammates Yaze Yushiko and Kira Kushina—elite sorcerers from Jyotu High—Hajime embarks on a perilous hunt across realms. Their mission: stop Loki Danara, a Black Pool psychomancer hell-bent on global ruin. As threats converge, Hajime’s trials sharpen: Can he tame the dragon’s pulse coursing through him? Protect Amanda Halle, the kind-hearted crush he never confessed to? And confront the shadows that took Kari, while the line between salvation and destruction blazes like his every breath. A tale of vengeance, loyalty, and primal power, _Fire Breath_ asks: When the flames of fate consume you, will you burn the world…or forge it anew. Discord@dannyduffeild

Chapter 1 - chapter 1) I got a girlfriend

October 2018, Shinjuku.

A young man, Sadori, sat on a concrete chair under a tree's shade, waiting for the school bus. He sipped a soda, dressed in the standard boys' uniform: black long-sleeve, black trousers, white shoes. His little sister, Timi (7), was with him. People bustled along the busy street.

"For the love of God, where's that damn bus?" Sadori muttered, checking his wristwatch. It was late. He'd waken up so early… and now bad luck seemed to chase him.

Flashback: A Reluctant Morning

"Wake! wake! wake! Sleepyhead! It's 6 a.m. If you don't get up, I'll keep ringing!" The alarm clugged along Sadori's bed, until he jammed it, stretching lazily. He raised his head, blurry-eyed from scouring hentai magazines all night—the scattered papers littered his room.

Knock knock.

"Sadori, are you there?" His mother, Hajime Fumi, checked if her 16-year-old son was still snoozing.

"I'm up, Mom!" Sadori yelled, shoving the magazines aside. His father's booming voice came from the living room:

"Sadorii, is he still fiddling with those dirty things?"

"I'm up, Dad! I'll be there in a sec."

He hurried, bathed, and joined Timi in the kitchen. She sat eating breakfast, eyeing him critically.

"Fiddling with dirty magazines, oni-San. You're a weird dude." "Watch your mouth, Timi," Sadori said, embarrassed. The family knew his habits, and they urged him to "do something" instead.

"You really should get a girlfriend Sadori," his sister said, sparking a mini-brawl. Their father, Hajime Tojou, intervened.

After breakfast, they left together. Sadori fumed: how could he get a girlfriend? He'd read tons of manga, watched countless anime… nada.

Present Time

"Calm down, Sadori. The bus will still come," Timi said, sipping soda."There it is!" She jumped, and they boarded.

"Shokoku High

ah, isn't it beautiful?" Timi said."Come on, Timi. Let's go, or you'll gawk all day," Sadori said, pulling her along.

Classroom:

The teacher introduced a new student: Kari Monata, a transfer student from from Tagarai. Her mission: was to find and eliminate the vessel of a dragon called the champion. A member of Japan's secret Black Pool.

"Class, meet Kari Monata. I hope you all get along."

"Thank you, Sora-san," Kari said, smiling, welcomed.

Lunchtime Three nerdy friends urged Sadori to confess to Amanda Hale, an American blonde model dating Sevenster Stone—a rich, spoiled enemy.

"There! There she is…" Mugi pointed.

Sadori froze as Sevenster joined her, kissing her. The trio left disappointed.

"there are tons of other girls man," Motara said encouraging his buddies to try something new.

Outskirts of Shinjuku (Parallel)

A dying old man, Sanji, knelt. He'd sought the champion to help him—too late. Black Pool members cornered him.

"Give up. We'll kill you," Viper sneered.

Sanji burst into steam, escaping. "Stupid old man he got away," Viper growled."Calm down. Our girl won't fail," Saki said smirking.

Evening, Shokoku

Sadori couldn't find Timi. "Dammit, where's that girl?" Frustrated, he walked home, unaware someone shadowed him.

On a intop of a flyover bridge, Sadori brooded:

"Why have the gods cursed me?"

A soft voice:

"Hello."

A beauty in black pantyhose smiled. "You must be Hajime Sadori."

"Yes… and you are?"

"Kari Monata." She bowed. He gaspped at her chest, nearly nosebleeding."Pretty, I must say," Sadori stammered.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" she asked, trembling. "Nope. I'm desperate."

"Do you mind being my… boyfriend?"

"Sure. I'd love to!"

"Meet me at the café at 8 p.m.," she said, waving.

Sadori pumped his fists. Finally!

"Kari, wait! I love—"

"I'm so Sorry. You're a threat." The axe plunged into his chest. As he died, she cried held him closed to her body, weeping. Two figures found Sadori's brutalized corpse flies buzzing around its. Kira covered her mouth in horror.

"Oh… my God!" Yaze said, blowing the flies away using one of his Sommer technique.

"Who could do this?" Kira cried. Too late.

A portal opened. Sanji, wounded, emerged.

"Let me see," he said, kneeling. With a chant, he ripped out his heart and implanted it in Sadori.

"No one must know he's dead," Sanji whispered. They promised.

"Protect him. A sergeant will train you at Jyotu High…" Sanji vanished. The friends mourned the last dragon lord, now in Sadori.

2 a.m. Sadori woke, groaning. The moon shone. His chest was smooth, bloodstained.

"Did I die?" Memories flooded. "Kari…"

Examining his surroundings, he sensed something new—night vision.

He sneaked home, showered, hiding the truth. But restlessness hit. Rolling in bed, his room turned scorching. A voice roared:

"Sadori!!"
