(Third Person POV)
"This is far more reckless than anything else you've thought of." Alyssa told Vaelor as they walked towards the entrance of the Dragonpit, "I don't like it at all, Vaelor."
Vaelor was holding Daella's hand as they walked, "I don't care." He said, "It has to be done if we are to prevent her leaving me."
Daella's face went completely red, "L-Leaving you.....?" She said softly, "V-Vaelor...."
Vaelor looked at her, "Daella, you must be brave now." He said with a serious expression, "If you are to claim a dragon, you must be firm and hold your ground. Dragons are mighty creatures, far superior to anything else in this world. Even when compared to us Targaryens, they are beings with power beyond us."
Daella looked at him, "Y-Yes...."
"You cannot show fear, Daella." Vaelor said, "Dragons will sense that, and who knows how they'll react. Each dragon is different in personality but if you show a weak will, all of their responses will be the same."
"If they reject you, Daella, you might lose your life." Alyssa said as she looked around, "We should hurry before our brothers find us; they will do anything to prevent this."
Vaelor grabbed both of Daella's hands, "Daella, I need you to calm down." He said, "Steel yourself, show no fear. But do not, by any means, underestimate Dreamfyre. To properly claim a dragon, you must show it respect, you must know what kind of danger you are in...you need to understand what situation you are in."
Daella nodded, "I-Is that how you did it with Shrykos?" She asked softly, "You....you respected him?"
"Yes." He said, "We're here for you. If Dreamfyre rejects you and is about to hurt you, we will go in and get you out as quickly as possible. But worry not, sister, I know you'll do this."
Daella gulped, "I'm scared....."
"I know you are." Vaelor said as he patted her cheek, "I know you're scared. But you must control that fear, you must not let it control you."
Alyssa stood next to her, patting her shoulder, "You can do this, sister." She said with an encouraging tone, "You can do it, I believe in you."
"You may be kind and gentle, Daella." Vaelor smiled, "But you are a dragon, don't forget that. Your blood holds a power that many will want. And you must believe in that, sister. You can do this, you can claim a dragon. And when you do, you will finally understand how amazing it is....to fly..."
"W-Wait...." Daella said as Vaelor pulled away, "I....."
"What is it?" Vaelor frowned
"If I do claim my dragon...." Daella said as she fidgeted with her fingers, "Will I not be able to ride with you anymore....?"
Vaelor blinked, "Oh." He said, "Well, uhm...."
Alyssa chuckled, "Worried about the wrong things, Daella." She said, "You can definitely do that, sister. Don't worry about a thing."
Vaelor cleared his throat, "Y-Yea, Daella." He said, "You can still ride with me, it's okay."
Daella smiled slightly, "Thank you...."
Vaelor nodded, "Go on, sister...." He said, "We'll be right behind you."
"You can do this."
****************
Baelon and Aemon walked to Alyssa, who was on the entrance of the dragonpit, being scolded by the keepers.
"What's going on?" Baelon asked Alyssa who was rolling her eyes, "Where is Vaelor?"
Aemon stopped, looking around, "And Daella." He said, "We were told you lot came this way."
Alyssa smirked slightly, "Oh, you know." She said, "We were here, in the dragonpit. With our dragons."
Baelon frowned, "What did you do?"
"Me?" Alyssa said, "Nooothing~"
The dragonkeeper scowled, "My Princes, Princess Alyssa went into Dreamfyre's cave without permission." He said, "The She-Dragon was woken up without provocation, risking a serious incident!!"
"Why would you do that?" Aemon scowled, "Are you mad? Dreamfyre does not like being woken up!"
"Even Vhagar, who is slow and old, doesn't like being bothered when asleep." Baelon said with a frown, "Why would you do that?"
"Prince Vaelor and Princess Daella were also there." The Keeper said in High-Valyrian, "It could have been a disaster!"
"Nobody told you to run your mouth!" Alyssa exclaimed in kind
Baelon groaned, "Ughh...." He said, "What happened now????"
"Alyssa, if Daella is hurt-" Aemon started
"Oh, brothers." Vaelor came out of the dragonpit, "What are you doing here?"
Baelon looked at him, "Where is Daella?"
Vaelor pointed behind him, "Right behind me."
The two watched as Daella emerged, walking slowly and timidly as the figure of Dreamfyre was right behind her, letting out a low rumble and nudging her with her snout.
"What....?" Aemon said with a surprised expression
"We underestimated Daella." Alyssa smirked, "Turns out that Dreamfyre loves her. She claimed her without issue."
"Are you serious???" Baelon said as Daella approached them, followed by Dreamfyre, causing everyone to be warry of this, "She claimed her.....?"
"Yea, but she's still nervous about climbing her saddle and taking her for a flight." Alyssa chuckled, "Aren't you, sister?"
"I....I don't know what to do....." Daella said while blushing, "D-Dreamfyre is eager to fly now...."
"Well, take her then!" Alyssa said, "We'll all go!"
"We?" Baelon frowned
Alyssa smacked his arm, "You're damn right that we will." She said with a scowl, "Go and get your old hag, Baelon! Aemon! Get your stupid red lizard."
Aemon frowned, "Don't insult Caraxes like that."
"Well, tell Caraxes not to be a stupid-looking shit." Alyssa said, "I'm getting Meleys!"
Vaelor watched as Alyssa walked past them and headed inside to the pit, "Huh." He said as he looked at his eldest brother, "You letting her speak to your dragon that way?"
Aemon's eye twitched. "I'm getting sick and tired of anyone insulting my dragon." He said, "Caraxes has done nothing wrong to anyone!"
Vaelor nodded, "Yea." He said, "That's the spirit."
Daella reached for Vaelor's hand, "V-Vaelor...." She said, "W-Would you help me climb up Dreamfyre's saddle?"
"Yea." Vaelor smiled, "Come, let's get you up there."
Baelon and Aemon watched in awe as Vaelor proceeded to help Daella up onto Dreamfyre's saddle, who was surprisingly calm, letting someone other than her rider climb up onto her. Daella had a bright smile as Vaelor chuckled, the two were lost within each other's gazes.
"Is our Father empty in his skull?" Baelon whispered to Aemon, "Why would he not want these two to marry?"
"Sometimes, I think he does it to be stubborn." Aemon muttered, "Because those two are meant for each other."
Baelon nodded, "Yea." He said, "Good for Vaelor."
"I'm proud of him."
