Penelope raised her head, hands on her hips, pointing skyward as she exclaimed,
"Are you really my child? Why do you always have to oppose me? It's just three million, and you won't lend it to me. Aren't you afraid people will say you're unfilial?"
Her daughter scoffed coldly, retorting,
"Go ahead, say it. You dare speak so lightly about three million? Do you think money just blows in from the wind? You're living on a pension of two or three thousand a month, not the villa owner you used to be. The one who needs to be sensible here is you."
She continued, her voice growing sharper,
"Besides, anyone who lures you into investing or spending money is a scammer. Tonight I'll stay here. Tomorrow morning, you're coming with me to the police station to report this."
