She was hurrying faster now. Her heart pounding, her hair bouncing behind her. sweats covering her face dripping down her neck. Her waist held daggers and her pocket was filled with explosive tiny dynamite. She stopped at the top of the stairs seeing the blood she'd going on, each cadet struggling for their life. She moved swiftly, dashing around a corner just as something smashed into her from a wall, she fell, holding the stair railing for survival. The beast raised a clawed foot and she let go, smashing into a dinner table. Pain exploding in every nerve cell.
Her arm hurt, her skin tore, movement now was pretty much restricted. She groped for her blessing, feeling it on her hand. She shot painfully from her position as the beast smashed down after her. She ricocheted off the ground throwing a bunch if dynamite , she bent narrowly dodging a claw strike from another beast. Head butting it into a wall. Most cadet found it amusing, electrifying to be I a heated war between beings, to battle alongside dragons. But she was fighting for her life.
Life had never been fair or nice to her, to Relma fenington, she had to watch her own family being killed before her, her family fortune was seized and she was thrown into this hell hole for blasphemy and treason against a nation that didn't consider her as their own. For her, life could no longer be seen as something worth living, but she had to survive to prove her point, to leave her mark on the world. Blood bursted out of her shoulder, the claw retracting she fell in pain, the beast rushing to kill her. Just as a mighty sledge hammer rammed into it's face. She knelt down seeing the boys before her. Skillfully destroy beast with...cutleries? She could not help herself but let out an hysterical laughter. The young man turned helping her up. A smile lit in his face. His chestnut hair was plastered with sweat over his face. " I'm Ridoc." He laughed. She tilted her head awkwardly just as a beast rammed him into the wall. She dove quickly, striking upward and leaving a gash in the beast back with her dagger, Ridoc took his chance and rammed his fork into the beast's brain. Brain matter spurting out.
She helped him up and they dashed across the hall, towards a door, a dragon seeing them flee and flew at break neck speed after them. " Ridoc dock!" Relma yelled gliding downwards and glaring madly at the dragon, her eyes sparking yellow and she assumed that husky voice again at the dragon. " Scram!!!" She bellowed, the dragon over turning and rammed into the chandelier. Ridoc turned behind from the ground. Standing hurriedly and helping her up. She could feel pain spike up in her arm. She fell on him writhing. This was worse than the first. Migraines sweeping over her head and her brain melting to mush.
Ridoc lifted her, placing her hand across his shoulder and moving towards the door, an arrow digging into his shoulder. He winced, pulling the door knob in pain, he entered with her twisting the door knob back in place. Beasts were charging at the door in blood lust at them. He turned to her tears in his eyes, for once he could stare at her squarely. A smile on his face. " I saved her too..." Ridoc muttered, tears slipping down his face. The door exploded with a loud bangs as several beasts charged in.

All cadets of black Ash academy was well armed. Prepped for a possible war. The colonels we're all around, standing to fight the battle with the student. Professor calyne moved slowly towards colonel Davard, muttering something into his ear. He nodded and turned to the third years, some mighty students of the prestigious academy. " The word has arrived, the wing leaders will be heading to the dark zone with the commanders and a full army of bonded." Colonel Davard said. " Be ready for any emergency deployment." He turned and left, the cried dispersing leaving Ashdod Telayne and professor calyne. She looked around and moved closer to him. " Come with me." She whispered maliciously into his ear. He moved, obliging to her commands.
They turned down on a dark fleet of stairs, her hair bouncing behind her. The deeper they went, the dimmer the light became. They followed a short corner, she placed her hand on a wall and it opened. Ashdod was taken aback. " An emergency exit." She said. She entered first, rounding up in an alley which seemed to go downwards. It had huge fences with sharply razor walls. " Is there something you are not telling me?" Ashdod asked quietly. She stopped. He did too. Almost bumping into her. She turned her head side ways. " Ever heard of Messengers?" She asked. He shook his head. He had not. He did not know who she was or why she was helping him fulfill his mission. She continued following another steep bend and avoiding the eyes of security.
" Where are we going?" He asked, reluctant to keep moving. It was one thing that he appreciated her kind gesture, but it was another that they were being too secretive. She turned losing her nerves around him. But her face was plain, hiding all that bitter emotions clinging so deep to her heart. " To fulfill your destiny." A voice boomed. Ashdod turned to see a man in Black clock with a golden inscribed triangle. " And who are you?" He asked. " No questions, I know every thing, I can show you how things will be. A destroyed world. That curse will steal every thing including your rightful throne." The figure said. Ashdod squeezed his palms watching them. " He hated her, but he wanted a sweeter revenge than this. And killing her in the midst of chaos was an all too sweet chance.
" The dragon will lead you. Follow the back Street and you will meet your guide." The man said. " But be careful. Once darkness destroys your harmony, it can never be regained." The man said. Ashdod moved closer to the dragon. He was cautious with every step. Knowing fully well that a bonded dragon can not be rode by any other person except his or her Rider. The dragon took a step backwards, baring his teeth at Ashdod. The hooded man stretched out his hand and blue magic shot of into the dragon's head.
It rose and fell down with eyes closed. Ashdod could not believe his eyes. The hooded man had just assaulted a dragon. His dragon. This was a break in the riders codex. In the oath binding a Rider and a dragon. The dragon leaned on the ground with it's face to the ground. It's eyes opened slowly and it gave a low moan. As if respecting it's riders decision. This was the most strangest signet Ashdod had witnessed. A signet that could bend a dragon's will? Unheard of.
He moved slowly touching the dragon's face. " It will be alright. When she is gone. " He whispered. The dragon gave another low moan and allowed the plates on its legs form an ascending stairs for him. He mounted the dragon and turned. Resentment in his heart. Vengeance in his mind, the throne was his and his alone. He was the black star. Their saviour, and they will bow to him. " We will wait for you dragon star. " Professor calyne smiled. Giving a reassuring smile. The dragon stretched out it's wings and took off with it's riders one sole mission at heart. Kill Elara Ashwood

He could taste the vengeance in the eyes of his predator. The metal released him and he fell in a heap in the floor. Breathing tensely and hoping to survive. Jason lorke was just assassinated. The being stood up and with the twinkle of an eye began to burn into flames. Fear etched into his being he craved release. And her. " She is next. The one with the heart of ivory." The being cackled burning into crimson. He began to throw up blood, scrambling for help.
He could hear the beat of wings and the pain reduced. He could hear her cries too as she screamed in his head. A special character a dragon could do was share their riders pain. They can accumulate all their riders negative emotions to survive, and Jaydara was just the perfect dragon for that. An ink eye feathertail. " You have to stop Jaydara." He muttered mentally. He could feel her lose balance in the hair, gliding back wards. " I will save you. " Jaydara muttered. The next minute the hall walls collapsed as the inky eye feathertail barged in scampering at him.
The pain vanished but not the wound. A scar of his near death escapade. He moved to her. Holding her face to his. Pressing her eyes into his. " Where is she Jaydara?" He muttered. And he could see it. Every one. The hall. The battles. The attack in Relma and Ridoc. Finally he could see it. He could see her. ....Elara Ashwood was about to be murdered
