Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25.

I didn't even tell the cab driver where to go. I just told him to drive.

Anywhere. Just anywhere but herr.

The city blurred past the window, neon lights, shadows, strangers' faces I'd never see again. Everything felt unreal, like I was floating outside my own body watching my life fall apart from the corner of a movie screen.

"Here's fine," I muttered when we hit a small, half-lit train station.

I paid the driver with trembling fingers, didn't even wait for the change, and just walked to the nearest bench. It was cold, hard, and the air smelled like rust and rain. I sat there. Staring at the ground. Breathing. Or atleast trying to.

I didn't even realize I was crying till the tears started dropping onto my jeans, dark little dots spreading across the fabric.

God, how did I end up here in this situation.?

How did everything go so wrong.
