My hands shook as I reread the letter, unable to believe what I was reading. My eyes instantly blurred as I reread the text a few times, the entire world spinning around me as realization crashed over me like cold water. My best friend… she is with heathen, after just mere hours since he came to threaten me.
I couldn't believe this was happening right now. Alec literally just told me he was already planning for a way to have her protected, but not knowing that she was already gone. I struggled to keep my tears back as I hurried to bring out my phone.
'Please be fine." I chanted underneath my breath a few times as I struggled to dial Heathen's number, the tears blurting my eyes making it hard for me to see what I was typing. Thsnkfully, I succeeded in dialing the number and I waited, my breath bated and my heart pounding so hard until the call finally got accepted.
