Shisui, though kind-hearted, was still a trained warrior. Sensing something unusual, he studied Arata carefully.
"Knowing you as I do… you didn't come here just to check my Mangekyō, did you?"
Arata knew it was time to drop the bomb.
Looking straight into Shisui's eyes, he said quietly,
"I saw you die."
"I don't know the exact moment," he continued, his voice steady,
"but it isn't far from now."
Shisui's pupils constricted sharply. His face twitched uncontrollably as Arata spoke again.
"A few years after your death, the Uchiha clan will be annihilated."
Shisui could no longer remain seated. He stood up abruptly, his voice rising in disbelief.
"Impossible! We are the greatest clan in Konoha! We've been here since the village was founded.
How could anyone even dare to wipe us out? Who would have that kind of power?"
Arata didn't try to comfort him. Instead, he spoke with deliberate implication.
"Outside Konoha, no one could do it.
But what about inside Konoha?"
Shisui froze.
For a long moment, he said nothing. His lips trembled before he finally spoke, his voice hoarse.
"…What else did you see?"
Arata paused, choosing his words carefully.
"I didn't see much," he said slowly.
"Mostly ordinary, everyday scenes. But there were a few moments—brief, yet crucial."
"Your Sharingan is extremely valuable," he continued.
"I saw you lying on the ground. Your eyes had been removed."
"The Third Hokage and Danzo were nearby. Danzo was holding your eyes in his hand, surrounded by ANBU."
Shisui had never believed that killing him would be easy—Mangekyō or not.
But hearing this, everything began to connect.
Danzo's ruthless pragmatism.
The Third Hokage's tendency to compromise.
And the terrifying nature of Kotoamatsukami.
"If I inform the Third Hokage about my Mangekyō and Kotoamatsukami…" Shisui murmured, thinking aloud,
"even if he doesn't want to kill me himself, the technique is too dangerous."
"If Danzo learns of it, he'll push for my death.
And the Third Hokage…" His voice faltered. "…may silently allow it."
"Only a surprise attack," he muttered grimly,
"not a direct confrontation, would have any real chance of success."
His eyes dimmed as the realization settled in.....
even the Third Hokage could not fully tolerate Kotoamatsukami.
After piecing everything together, Shisui looked back at Arata.
"Is there anything else?"
Arata's voice grew hoarse, as though he were suppressing deep, burning anger. Each word came slowly, heavy with weight.
"The Uchiha clan… will be wiped out."
His eyes were bloodshot, his gaze fierce.....
not fixed on Shisui, but on an unseen enemy waiting years in the future.
"That night, every Uchiha—ninja and civilian alike—will die."
"Only two survive."
"Itachi Uchiha defects."
"And the youngest son of the clan head.....Sasuke Uchiha....is left alive in Konoha."
Arata did not say that Itachi alone had slaughtered the clan.
Anyone with even basic reasoning would know that was impossible.
The Uchiha were Konoha's strongest clan.
Even Itachi.....or Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage.....could not have erased them silently on their own.
Shisui fell silent.
Words failed him as the weight of reality crushed down. The two sat facing each other, neither speaking.
The moon climbed higher, its pale light illuminating their expressionless faces.
After a long time, Shisui finally spoke, his voice calm.....almost too calm.
"…Have you told anyone else?"
Arata shook his head.
"No. What I've said is too unbelievable. Even if I told others, most wouldn't trust it."
"Have you spoken to the clan head?" Shisui asked.
"If you told him everything, I believe he would listen."
Arata shook his head decisively.
"No. I don't trust the clan head."
Shisui frowned. "Why?"
"Because he also possesses the Mangekyō Sharingan," Arata replied.
"And even though he eventually dies, the two survivors are still his sons.
Doesn't that seem… too coincidental?"
"I can't judge his true position. If I told him everything, I might be exposed—and worse, you and the rest of the clan could become impossible to save."
Shisui considered this, then nodded slowly.
"…What do you need me to do?"
Arata let out a long breath. Convincing Shisui was the first step. The future might still be changed.
"Shisui, you're one of the strongest Uchiha.....and now the hope of the clan."
"Be cautious. Trust no one completely. Especially not the Third Hokage or Danzo. Stay alert at all times."
Shisui nodded firmly.
"I understand. Don't worry."
"And…" Arata added, watching him closely,
"have you told anyone about your Mangekyō?"
Shisui shook his head.
Arata finally relaxed.
"Good. Don't tell anyone. Anyone at all," he said seriously.
"There's no wall in this world that doesn't have ears. One mistake—and the danger multiplies."
