Chapter 35 - Chapter 34 : Why are you coming after me… just because he's from a ninja clan?

According to intelligence, Kojima Murafu, the rogue ninja, was hiding in a small fishing village by the sea, likely planning to escape via boat.

Arata's mission: eliminate him on the spot or capture him for lifetime imprisonment.

Naturally, Arata preferred the first option.....it was easier and more convenient.

Approaching the village, Arata remained cautious, sending out shadow clones to scout.

Fishing villages were small and closely knit; he could easily distinguish ninja from ordinary villagers by subtle details.

Fishermen's skin was sun-scorched and calloused, their hands rough and worn.

Ninjas, who rely on hand seals, carefully maintain their hands...any deviation would be noticeable.

Even if Kojima attempted to disguise himself with makeup or attire, Arata's keen eye identified him instantly.

As Arata's clone observed the village, Kojima, repairing nets at the shoreline, froze.

The disguise was gone.....he dropped the nets and bolted toward the nearby forest.

The clone activated its Three-Tomoe Sharingan, tracking him with unerring precision.

Once in the trees, Kojima discarded his disguise entirely.

He donned his Jonin armor, secured his ninja pouch, and finally confronted the clone with raw emotion. His voice trembled as he shouted:

"You… you found me! Why… why can't you leave me be? I've hidden here, and still, you hunt me!"

His eyes were red, hands gripping kunai so tightly that the veins on his neck stood out.

"Why are you coming after me… just because he's from a ninja clan?

Don't you understand? He provoked me first! I'm his teacher! And yet he… he showed me no respect, no reverence at all!"

Before Arata could speak, Kojima's pent-up frustration poured out, tears welling in his eyes.

He had finally found someone to vent to, and the torrent of his grievances filled the air, a mixture of guilt, anger, and despair.

Uchiha Arata waited patiently as Kojima Murafu vented his anger, his crimson eyes and trembling hands betraying the emotions he had tried so long to suppress.

Only after Kojima's outburst finally subsided did Arata speak, calm and precise:

"I've reviewed all the information about you and your student.

Even if he provoked you, there were many ways to handle it.

You could have sent him back, left him a bad evaluation.....both would impact his future significantly. Or, using your strength, you could have disciplined him physically without resorting to killing."

He shook his head slightly. "In the end, you overreacted. His provocation, while infuriating, did not justify ending his life."

Kojima's breathing slowly steadied. Hearing Arata's words, he didn't lash out. Instead, he said, bitterly:

"You're from a ninja clan, aren't you? You're too naive

Do you know why he provoked me? Because he looked down on me.

He assumed I couldn't do anything to him. Even if I sent him back, his clan would just assign him a stronger teacher."

"Beating him? There would always be someone to step in. Bad evaluations? The system wouldn't even prevent his promotion to Chunin or Jonin.

He probably wanted me to fail him—at worst, a delayed graduation, maybe even a better teacher assigned later."

Kojima's expression twisted with frustration. "You clan-born ninjas… do any of you ever think about us, the ninjas who come from the common folk? Do you know what it took for me to get here?"

"Unlike your family-born ninjas, when we graduate, we're only taught the basics.

Our assigned teachers are usually mid-tier ninjas from commoner backgrounds, who don't know many jutsu themselves, let alone pass them on freely."

All my skills? Earned with sweat, hard missions, and risking my life countless times. Becoming a Special Jonin was a struggle.

And if I couldn't handle a newly graduated brat… how could I hold my head high?"

Arata fell silent for a moment, recognizing the truth in Kojima's words.
