The principal's office smelled faintly of old books and new polish. Certificates lined the walls in neat frames, and a wall frame of him along with someone who looks like a major power in the city shaking hands. Behind the dest sat the principal Gaios himself, a man in his late fifties, hair half–bald making Han jinhai struggle to keep his laughter to himself until he earned a sharp glare from Lin Feng before he could reign himself in.
He looked up from a stack of papers and raised an eyebrow. " Wow, another group of young lords from god-knows-where " he said with a dry humor.
Steven cleared his throat a little."sir, these are the newly transferred students"
"I'm not blind Steven, I know" he replied almost bored. Gaios set his pen down and leaned back in his chair.
"Well",he began, "welcome to Starlight International Academy. I'm the principal Gaios. My job is to make sure you leave here smarter,not stranger. Though looking at you lot, I might have my work cut out for me" he sighed as if foreseeing a bleek future.
"Disturbances are my least favorite kind of paperwork" he muttered picking up a brown document going through it briefly.
"Now I've read your transfer documents, well, as much as could be read. Some parts seem...oddly vague. Previous schools marked as 'non existence '? Care to enlighten me?"
There was a pause.
Yun Qiaolan spoke gently, her voice melodic
"We were homeschooled. In a remote area!"
"Remote area as in...the Arctic?"
She smiled politely "something like that".
"Whatever, you'll find the school to your liking" he said waving his hand dismissively
"I hope so principal" Yun Qiaolan replied with a cheeky smile
"If you try to pull anything too strange..." He paused,eyes sharp but still kind " you'll find that I've been a teacher long enough to recognize trouble even when it's wrapped in... politeness ". There was silence, ah, an almost bored silence.
'A flick of my finger could turn him to dust ' Mei xuelian voice rang in their mind, gaze chilling
'And he wants to teach us discipline huh?' Han jinhai voice rang next
'ahh, mortals...how fragile ' Chen kaelun lamented
'he's cute though ' Yun Qiaolan suddenly commented making them turn to look at her in sync, she shrugged
'i mean, look at his beautiful hair, isn't that cute?' he voice contained the barest amusement. Han jinhai and Chen kaelun almost lost control of their facial expressions as they struggle to stop themselves from laughing. Mei xuelian lips curved up just slightly, a clear sign of amusement.
"Understood, principal " Lin Feng cold voice broke the silence
"We'll do our best to...fit in".
"Good". Gaios clapped his hands once. "Now, Steven will show you to your lockers and classrooms. Oh...and one last thing ".
The turned toward him again.
"You all would be getting your school uniforms by tomorrow " he said and the nodded before leaving
"Try not to cause an apocalypse before lunch " they heard the principal's voice from behind before the door shut him off.
"The principal sure talks a lot" Wu mingyu muttered rubbing his temple like he got a migraine
"I almost thought I would suffocate" Han jinhai said
"You? You were having your fun staring at his cute hairline " Yun Qiaolan replied and they all laughed and even Steven joined in making fun of the poor principal.
