The morning hallway buzzed with the familiar chaos of a new term, shoes squeaking against polished floors, lockers slamming shut, chatter bouncing off every wall. The scent of disinfectant mixed oddly with the sweet perfumes of freshly printed timetables.
Then silence came.
Well, not total silence, but that subtle hush that ripples through a crowd when something or rather someone catches attention.
What were they staring at?.
Surprise!! Well, Steven just walked in with our seven immortal babies in highschool trying to pretend they are still 18 not a hundred plus. They didn't look like ordinary students. There was something too composed, too... deliberate about them. For example, when they stand or walk, it was so disciplined like people who have spent years drilling in the military.
"Do they always stare this much?" Chen kaelun asked brushing a lock of his hair from his face. His smile warm and easy, bright and unbothered.
"I mean, we're new, not celebrities".
"They probably think we're a band or something" Han jinhai teased, elbowing Chen kaelun who did a mock grunts holding his stomach.
"We could be though. Imagine the seven of us on stage". He added
Yun Qiaolan twirled her hair around her slender finger. "Right. I call lead singer. You two can fight for backup". She said with a sly smile
"I hate that smile of yours" Chen kaelun said with an irritated look
"Yours is even more disgusting" Yun Qiaolan retorted
"Can't you guys shut up for a minute? I'm having migraine because of you all" Wu mingyu complained completely ignoring the curious glance thrown at him, well, he is used to it already.
"The more time I spend with you guys, the more I look forward to this term" Steven said as he showed them their lockers
"We won't be in the same class as you guys, don't cause any trouble and... Mei xuelian, watch over her" Lin Feng finally spoke, I mean in his mind transmitting his voice to their mind. Mei xuelian rolled her eyes "I know that already"
"Wait! What do you mean by protect? I'm not a troublemaker, you should watch over Han jinhai instead". Yun Qiaolan complained immediately
"Humph. And I can take care of myself" she added.
"Yun Qiaolan...you are getting more and more..." Han jinhai trailed off as he caught Mei xuelian glaring coldly at him.
"Put your little books inside your lockers and then you follow me to your classes, let's get you settled" Steven voice saved him from immediate death
"Haha..." He laughed awkwardly "yes please I can't wait" he said rushing to Steven side for protection while Steven just stared at him confused but quickly brushed it off.
They stopped in front of a door with the nameplate ' Class S boys' this class is for the top students, from your record we decided you will be best fit for this class but this is only for the boys and the girls would be taken to the only girls class" Steven explained before knocking on the door then pushed it open and walked in followed by the boys while the girls waited outside.
Mr Duck that was teaching history to the obviously bored students paused when there was a knock on the door. Irritation flashed on his face for a brief moment before signing as he saw the door opened and Steven walked in followed by five insanely handsome boys. The once bored class immediately lit up in curiosity.
"Sorry for the disturbances Mr Duck " Steven said completely unapologetic
"Mr Duck?" Han jinhai whispered to himself in shock to how mortals would name themselves after ducks...
" Whatever, be fast please" he said slightly irritated.
Steven ignored him and faced the students "they are your new classmates from China and would be taking this session with you guys, treat them well" he said before moving aside a little gesturing for them to come forward.
"Introduce yourselves to your new classmates" Steven said with a smile.
Han jinhai stepped forward first...
"Hello classmates, my name is Jason Han, nice to meet you all" his cheerful voice rang out...
