Dahlia's POV
"So you're saying I can't get over you?" The absurdity of his statement made me laugh.
"Am I wrong?" Cobb's brow furrowed as he dropped his voice to barely above a whisper. "Why else would you stick around my uncle?"
Cobb's ego never ceased to amaze me. Where he found the audacity to make such assumptions was beyond my comprehension.
I had no patience for this conversation. The last thing I needed was for people to see me wasting time with someone so delusional.
"Dahlia, just walk away from my uncle. I'll overlook everything that happened between us before." Cobb's fingers suddenly clamped around my arm, his gaze boring into mine with an intensity that made my skin crawl. His dark eyes blazed with something that looked dangerously like hunger.
"What exactly are you suggesting?" My lips curved into a cold smile. "You want me as your kept woman?"
