The trapdoor has intricate design and patterns similar to galaxy drawings but much more detailed. It wasn't made from any known solid on earth and it's design structure are rather complicated to comprehend.

This door, why does it feel familiar to me. I look around to look for some keyhole or anything. And found a circular dent of the size of a plate. I observed it and to my surprised I took out the plate he possessed. It's uncanny design is similar with the trapdoor, it's origin is a mystery. Father even told me this thing came out of the cosmos. Is this the place of it's origin?
I ponder the thought of it. I slowly inserted the plate on my hand into the dent and it perfectly fitted. A couple second later the ground shakes, everyone that felt it back off from the trapdoor. It slowly opened up and what surprised us was another monster spring out of it alerting me and the soldier.

They fought the monster, it doesn't look like the mimics that they have previously fought but it looks like a zombie that came out of the lab, it was large, hostile, carries two liquid tanks at it's back and it strength are no lesser than the armor suits.
With no time to think, mark let out a loud command.
"F-FIRE, FIRE AT WILL" a barrage of bullet flew through the target.
"graaar!!! " it rampage through its enemies, crushing the soldier with it's oversized fist while being bathe with constant firing. Fortunately, it was not impenetrable despite it's build, it's flesh isn't as thick as it look, armor piercing rounds is enough for bullets to burrow into it.
William also helped, despite the losses. He managed to divert it's attention to himself as he played it dodging it's attack and taunt it with a strike of his sword. The monster didn't last long and it fell.
"that monster. I was. Wondering what could be inside this place" William asked to himself.
The medics arrived and sends the wounded to the camp's clinic, one the tank broke and the liquid it spilled turn the splashed soldier into a monster immediately, eroded it's physicality into something malign. With no hesitation the others ended their suffering.
Mark barbsman urge William to make preparation and refill they're ammunition. William complied and luckily they have enough stockpile to fully load their armor suit unit team weapon systems.
Within that time, the task in examining the dead monster and they found out that they have cores and destroying them is akin to killing them. That zombie like monster has it's core in it's center, it's cracked being pierced by a single bullet.
We never they're on a maintenance on a safe base, the team tends to unequipped their armor suit for leaving behind the arm part for systematic optimization.
"boss did you really took down a mutant? It sounds like fun why didn't You called us " volzar said.
"yeah boss, it could've been a useful shooting target, my ripper is scratching for a kill" archer spoke caressing his sniper rifle.
"knock it off you two, can't you give captain a break" yu Yao cast a worried look on William. William are rechecking his weapon system status through the decoder on his hand while resting on the tents canopy. William suddenly cough up a mouthful of blood.
"boss!" everyone present spoke in unison.
"boss are you alright? Is it getting worse?"

" you shouldn't overwork yourself up captain, leave the fighting to us" they worriedly spoke. Panicky sprang into action and do something that they could.
"I'm alright, that cryopad couldn't even stop the virus progression. I should finish this mission as soon as possible, I'm more worried about my brother"

William once again wore his helmet and spoke in a serious matter "engage deployment"
