A stair leading underground, maybe they're just unlucky that some monster climb up this stairs out of curiosity and just happen to arrive when the door opens. It was but a mere speculation.
As they venture, it took roughly just hundred meters of walking to end up in a facility full of unreadable words inside a screen that is attached to the walls.
The man in one of the screen are no different than a human when you look at it. Some members even thought they're the origin of humanity on earth or they might come from an advanced civilization.
William do not believe that they are humans.
After their careful exploration at the first room. It seems their is not much of a real danger here except for the bones scattered in this place, that is for unknown reason they vibrates. They do in fact look like human skeleton if they're intact if we leave out some strange bone extensions in it's head. The intact ones wake up like an aggressive hibernating animal, they don't charge towards then but instead just stand still and shriek like a banshi. But with helmet equipped with sound proofing module. It pose no threat to them and blasting there open skull is enough to one shot them.
Then came a... Slime? A bouncy ball in blue hue, it's cute and it doesn't seems to pose a threat.
"captain, readings from extrasensory energy detector, energy level is high but spread out on its body. We've detected this little monster don't have any core inside" yu Yao spoke, no matter how adorable the bouncing piece of blob is, she can't just let her guard down, specially since it's an unknown creature.
" don't let your guard down. Archer, test it use the semi automatic gun the army provided us" William look at archer as he spoke. He thought it through, it was not something that could be describe as normal. William always trust his gut feeling, or rather sixth sense.
"Roger that, engaging target" archer switch his sniper rifle into his semi automatic gun and with aim assistance function. He shot it relentless. He thought he could overwhelm it but unfortunately, despite him tracking it's movement. He couldn't land a single hit. It shocked him to see the day where his title as a prodigy became a sham in this situation, it was the good old days and it's already gone past.
It was unexpected but the slime jumps way faster than they thought, who would have thought such a small creature could display such immense agility. Using the enclosed room at its advantage.
Everyone was alerted and fires at it, some even tried to catch and crushed it but it was a futile attempt, tracking it's agile bouncing from all sides, it's vague and unpredictable nature makes it not quite simple to catch on.
The slime manage to knock down archer with a single body slam at top speed and jump once again towards William. With no time to react, William heard something. In a split second he saw a red glows at the slime center.
[beep.. Bloodline detected... Compatibility matched.. Performing awakening]
The slime entered William mouth, and vanished to the inside as it reach it's stomach. He had fallen into an unconscious state and his teammate made a retreat to the surface with the two.
1 Day later, safe zone camp
William woke up and found himself lying on a crafted bed. Probably someone built them on the spot with sufficient materials, although it's not bad, regular bed is still a better one to use. It's a portable tent William stayed on. The only furniture inside was just bed, chair and table.
"ugh, where am I? is this the camp? I really can't think straight with this terrible headache" William said as he determined his surroundings, despite the bland background of the walls and ceiling and a no pillow bed. There seems to be someone else sitting on the chair.
'i never thought this big guy could snore this loud' William thought as he see Eric sleeping at the seat, perhaps soundly. Unbothered by Eric, William focused his attention to what confused him in front of his perception.
"just what the hell is this" he asked, narrowing his brows to his confusion if it's an illusion or real.
It was a hologram screen with no projector, or to be in fact, he noticed his left eye projecting it. It may be taking half of his vision coverage but it's transparency makes it not a problem and after a few minutes of experimenting, he thought it's like a holographic device that can be touched and drag like his comm device. Unfortunately, it doesn't seems to be the case. Using his imagination, this holographic screen can be moved and be influenced by Williams sheer thought.
The content inside the holographic screen was just detailed information.
William's bloodline info, his name, his stamina bar, his mp percentage although William don't know what's this one, his body condition, Stat bar and most importantly, skills he possess that some he didn't know he possess or already used and known.
